We've earned a reputation for beautiful wedding cakes that taste as wonderful as they look. All of our cakes and icings are made on-site and from scratch. We specialize in buttercream iced wedding cakes. On your wedding day, one of our talented decorators will deliver your cake, to ensure that your wedding cake is picture perfect! We'll also make you a free (and fresh) one year anniversary cake!

Everything at Sweet Surrender is made from scratch! This allows us to accommodate many different diets. We are well known for our vegan cakes! However, we do not have separate kitchen prep areas for severe allergens such as gluten or nuts. And we do not make any cakes that are both vegan & gluten free. Our entire bakery is also approved dairy Kosher by the local Conservative Synagogues.

We do not charge extra for different flavors in each tier of the cake so they can all be different! We'll also make you a free one year anniversary cake- fresh!
There is a $55 Delivery and Set-Up fee for the Louisville area Tuesday thru Saturday, for all orders that meet our $350.00 delivery minimum. Sunday deliveries begin at $85.00. While we do deliver outside of the Louisville area, there is an increased delivery fee based on mileage and the length of time needed to deliver the cake. We rarely deliver more than 45 miles away.
Due to the COVID-19 precautions, we are doing our wedding cake tastings a little differently. You can place an order for a cake tasting box for $20.00. This box includes six different cake samples. Should you book your wedding cake with us, this fee is credited toward the overall cost of your cake. The order for the box can be placed by calling 502-899-2008 and curbside pick-up can be arranged.
While we are unable to do an in-person consultation at this time, we can still have a consultation via Zoom. We do ask that you send us any inspiration photos you have for cakes in advance, so we can have a slideshow ready to show you, customized to the style cake that you are looking for, with examples of cakes we've made previously. We are also happy to sketch new designs in your desired style.
Based on your number of expected guests, we will recommend how many tiers are needed to feed your party.
We recently have begun making wedding "cakes" out of stacked cookies! Custom dessert bars are another great way to serve all of your guests if you are not big on cake. We create al of our desserts from scratch and would love to help you choose a selection.
We typically suggest booking your wedding cake at least 3 months in advance. For busier wedding seasons such as May, June, September, and October dates, we recommend booking as far as 9 months in advance. We do not book weddings that are more than 16 months away.
