Michael Franano

Master Gelato Chef and Owner

My wife, Caroline and I have been in the industry for over 25 years, and we decided to apply our professional experience to our love of food and desserts and start GELATANO. We studied under a Master Chef in New York, and learned the secrets of making world class gelato and sorbetto. Our gelato is made in the traditional Italian method, as we cook our gelato and age it for up to 48 hours, and then run the frozen batches to order. This enhances the flavor and provides an incredibly rich and creamy texture your guests will love! Our sorbettos are made with real fruit and are fully vegan, so there is something delicious for everyone!

We bring passion to everything we do, GELATANO is more than a dessert choice, it's a fully immersive experience that is unique to Nashville. We have a long list of flavor options and we make custom flavors as well, and we are happy to make recommendations based on your cuisine. We provide a truly experiential service, that tastes amazing!
