Hello and welcome! I have been in the bar and hospitality industry for over 20 years. This business I have started is a labor of love to the industry I adore. I have worked in many different types of environments from elegant, to laidback, to fun and lively or a combo of a couple. I also have experience in planning events and theme parties at one of the bars in which I previously worked. It is my absolute honor and privilege to assist folks in their most important and joyful events.

I can assist in curation of cocktails/ mocktails, planning with the theme and ambiance in mind and bringing your vision to life. I’m fully game for living outside the box, as well. Let me help you plan your extraordinary day in the libation realm.

    Exceptional Service & Communication

    Melanie was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The drinks were fantastic and a huge hit with our guests, but what truly set her apart was her outstanding communication. She was incredibly attentive, listened to every concern we had, and was always available whenever we had questions, no matter how small. She went above and beyond by creating special signature drinks for us and was even open to experimenting with different syrups to get everything exactly how we envisioned. That level of flexibility and creativity made the experience feel so personalized and unique to us. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but Melanie made the entire process feel smooth and easy. Her professionalism, responsiveness, and genuine care really stood out. On the day of the event, everything ran perfectly, and the bar service exceeded our expectations. We couldn’t have asked for a better bartender and would highly recommend Melanie to anyone.

    Best Bartender in So Cal!

    The Redhead with a Shaker provided exceptional bar services and beverages for my best friend’s wedding (I was MOH). Her communication style was open, friendly, professional, and patient throughout the entire planning process. The quality of her work and value was outstanding - they demonstrated an exceptional attention to detail, were highly skilled and professional, and incredibly creative with the drinks she created. Melanie was a joy to work with. She crafted a signature cocktail and mocktail that perfectly matched the wedding color scheme (purple and black) and used fresh, high-quality ingredients. The drinks were absolutely delicious and a huge hit with all the guests. Melanie's expertise, preparation, and friendly demeanor ensured that the bar service flowed seamlessly, allowing the bride to relax and enjoy her special day without worry. I can't recommend The Redhead with a Shaker enough for any couple's wedding bar needs.

    Melanie is the best!

    Melanie goes above and beyond. She is kind, thoughtful and goes the extra mile to make sure your event feels special. We worked together on two different events and she impressed me each time. She has an extensive list of signature cocktails to choose from and is open to you creating/finding your own. She also had really great suggestions for how much of other drinks to buy (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) based on our party size. I will definitely work with Melanie again!

    Perfection in a Shaker!

    Thanks to The Redhead with the Shaker, we had an amazing experience! From start to finish, the attention to detail for our engagement party was outstanding. She really took the time to listen to what kind of drinks we were looking for and delivered exactly what we had in mind — every cocktail was delicious and thoughtfully crafted. Communication was smooth and consistent throughout the entire process, which made everything so easy. On top of that, the setup was absolutely beautiful and added such a special touch to the event. Highly recommend!
