Serenade Events played so beautifully and they played all my requests! They were probably the easiest vendor and live music was so cool to add. Definitely recommend!

  • Violinist for Sedona Wedding

I booked Serenade events back in September for my March wedding. We hired one violinist for our small wedding. Communication was great in the beginning but there was absolutely no communication aside from payments unless I initiated it. At the beginning of February I reached out for a list of music they claim to provide so we could finalize our music. I received a response in the middle of February with the list and a form to fill out regarding our event info and song selection. Once this was submitted, I never received further communication. As a bride, I would highly recommend skipping this vendor. The violinist was the only thing I was worried about not showing up the day of my wedding just because there was no communication. We requested a couple songs that weren't on their provided list and were never told if they would be possible. The violinist showed up with a broken music stand and asked if we had another one or something else she could use - totally not prepared. As I walked down the aisle, I heard multiple squawks and missed notes - these were songs that were on their provided list. We are able to laugh about it now, but honestly it was so disappointing for the price and the stress it caused.

Communication with Serenade Events was a little spotty, but nonetheless, it all worked out. We chose to have a violinist at our ceremony, who is local in Las Vegas. He was amazing! It rained on our Wedding Day and we were concerned because a string instrument can’t be played in the rain, however, with some last minute changes, everything worked out just as planned.

I hired Serenade Events in January 2023 for my wedding in April 2023. I was in communication with Jeff throughout the process. I chose to forego other wedding expenses so we could have live music for the ceremony and cocktail hour using music that was special to us- it was my top priority and what I was most looking forward to. Right before the ceremony, we realized the cellist hadn’t shown. Tried calling and no answer. I received an email from Jeff AFTER they were supposed to show saying their cellist was ill and that they’d tried to find another musician but would be unable to make it and that they would refund our initial deposit and the total we finished paying that week. What? Seriously? That is an insane thing to do to a couple on their wedding day, as a wedding vendor. We had to delay the ceremony an hour so I could make a playlist, find adapters, set up speakers, and ask a guest to play youtube videos in the right order for our cues. 100 guests were just waiting out there. It was a nightmare and everyone was so stressed out. Cellist was scheduled for cocktail hour too so we had to have a guest play random music off of my laptop for that as well. Far cry from the curated playlist I spent weeks developing and months ensuring they could provide it. I wish I could go back in time to hire literally anyone else. I’m still in disbelief at how this was handled. Not even a call- an email less than an hour before the ceremony. If they had given me even two hours' notice, I could’ve asked my musician father to bring his guitar. I could’ve asked someone to bring something. I’m sure we would’ve loved their musicians- it saddens me to see so many great reviews knowing that’s what we could’ve had. After the wedding, I responded to Jeff’s email by telling him how their actions impacted us and how this was a truly awful thing to do someone on their wedding day after hiring them months ahead of time. Didn’t get a response. No hard feelings to the ill cellist. I’m sure he’s a great musician and hard worker. I hope Serenade Events feels a semblance of shame but it doesn't seem like it. I don't think I can truly convey how saddening it was and still is almost a year later, when we had prioritized having live music with our playlists but ended up with thrown-together youtube songs and undue stress. It really was the one thing we were looking forward to the most from any of our vendors. It's obvious that Serenade Events doesn't care about some faceless person they've never met since they've never responded to me and just had this review taken down, which I had to get reinstated through documentation. They forever altered the memory of our wedding day and I just wish they had respected us enough to acknowledge how horrible it was to do. Removing negative reviews that you know are accurate is a scummy business practice. If you were really concerned you could've just reached out to us at ANY point.
