“The Lucky Devils Band absolutely made our wedding reception! From our initial phone call with Meredith, we knew we were in excellent hands. She took the time to thoroughly understand our vision and musical tastes, making thoughtful suggestions along the way. Communication was prompt, fun, and Meredith was so approachable throughout the planning process. On the big day, the band blew us away with their incredible talent and ability to perfectly execute our song requests, from jazz to oldies to classic rock. As musicians ourselves, we were so impressed by their skill level and experience and professionalism. During cocktail hour, two musicians played jazz, then they switched to rock mode for the reception. They truly made it feel like our own personal concert and kept people on the dance floor for literally 3 hours! The energy was palpable from their very first note, and their song selections kept guests of all ages dancing all night long. They ended the evening with “Purple Rain” by Prince and it made my life. We can't recommend the Lucky Devils Band highly enough - they were total professionals and our biggest splurge, but SO worth it I’d do it a million times over!!”

“We chose Eveni Floral Design as our wedding florists, and it may have very well been one of the best decisions we ever made to work with Zoey and Carrie. From the get go, we had a very specific design in mind that was difficult to describe. We wanted something colorful and cheery, natural and whimsical, yet elegant, refined, and tasteful. We also didn’t want just a boring classic rose-based design either, but weren’t looking to be wildly experimental. We interviewed numerous florists and provided them all with our color palette and some inspiration pictures, and while several were great, Zoey and Carrie really nailed the concept we were looking for right away. They proposed beautiful arrangements that were even more stunning during the mock-up, and were able to work with us to repurpose flowers from the ceremony for the reception. Any communication we had with them was prompt, professional, and easy to work with. They always were willing to make adjustments as we went along, and even accommodated other requests, such as making a dog collar for our dog to wear in the ceremony! And when it came to the wedding day, Zoey and Carrie absolutely blew us and our guests away. Not only were they right on time, quick in the set up, and during the transition of repurposing, the flowers themselves were PERFECT. They were all fresh, perfectly open, wonderfully vibrant, and artistically arranged. The colors of the flowers were vibrant, and their creativity in choices allowed for such a fun mix! Just looking at our bouquets brought an instant smile, they were just so cute, elegant, and playful, just like the vibe we hoped our wedding to have. And when we say our guests were absolutely floored by how absolutely lush and luxurious the florals were, we mean it. Every piece, from arch, bud vases, centerpieces, and floor arrangements had texture, height, whimsy, dimension, and color. They were neither too greenery heavy or overly stuffed with flowers. We had been to several weddings , and so had our guests (or had even gotten married themselves), and we received numerous compliments about how stunning our arch, bud vases, table set ups, and high / low centerpieces were compared to other weddings. By the end of the night, all the florals were taken by our guests! And while we had 10 tables, a full arch, innumerable bud vases and candles, and over 8 aisle pieces, Eveni Floral Design had some of the most fair/competitive pricing of all the florists in the SoCal area. We would HIGHLY recommend Eveni Floral Design for any event, big or small— they are so immensely talented, humble, and kind. We cannot thank them enough for making our wedding cohesive, beautiful, and absolutely us.”

“The Revery was everything we could've asked for in a venue and MORE. What initially drew us to the Revery was it being modern, yet still warm blank canvas. Compared to other blank canvas venues we saw in LA that were too industrial, too old, or just not our style, the Revery was the best base we could find. For our wedding, we used the upstairs indoor area for our ceremony and dinner, and used the outdoor area for our cocktail hour and mini-festival/dance floor. It was really cool to have the option to create 2 different kind of vibes and styles within the same venue and night. I highly recommend the Revery's bar service, where you can purchase your own alcohol and they provide the mixers service on the day of the wedding. You pretty much can't go wrong on any of The Revery's preferred vendors, we really liked working with everyone. For our wedding, we worked with Gigi from Sincerely Us Events for event coordination, Gray from Moon Jar Design for florals, Kapsule Co for photo & video, Chubby Fingers for catering, Stage labs for lighting, Dart Collective for our DJ, makeup from Beautifully Redeemed, Go Cakes for cake, and Wild House Ink for our lantern wall fabrication. We highly recommend them all! I honestly thought I'd be super stressed out on the day of the wedding, but I was CHILLIN. It is so nice to have vendors you trust, and be able to know that you're in good hands so you can just sit back and enjoy what you've put together. I also want to give a specific shoutout to the Revery owner, Monica, who was a joy to work with and was so accommodating, and answered our many questions very quickly. She did so many things big and small to make sure our wedding was setup for success, which we really appreciate since her experience and high attention to detail was pretty critical for us to plan our own wedding. It really felt like Monica wanted the best for us and our wedding. We'd love to host more events in the Revery some day, but til then, I highly recommend it for your event!”

“St. Anthony Croatian Catholic Church was the perfect venue for our wedding celebration. From the very beginning, their communication was wonderful - they were responsive, accommodating, and made the planning process easy. The quality of their work and overall value was amazing. The church itself is very pretty, with beautiful stained glass that created a stunning backdrop for our outdoor reception dinner on the patio. We asked them to keep the lights on inside so the glass would be illuminated at night, and it looked breathtaking. Many of our guests said it was the most lovely wedding they had ever attended. We couldn't have asked for a better venue to host our special day. The guests really appreciated not needing to drive anywhere after the ceremony. Also, the bride and groom photoshoot was at the Bradbury building and just on the sidewalk outside the church. Very pretty for wedding photo backdrops.”

“We had our cocktail hour and wedding reception at the Portofino Hotel & Marina. There was quite a bit of staff turnover throughout the months during our planning process and we were nervous when our initial catering manager left, but we were so grateful to have Rain who took over as our catering manager and did an excellent job with our wedding reception! Rain stepped in seamlessly and was wonderful to work with. He took the time to understand our vision and provided suggestions to enhance our reception. His professionalism was evident in every interaction, which gave us great peace of mind during the planning process. Rain helped us create special details, like our signature drinks, and included thoughtful touches that really made our wedding day feel extra special. Thank you Rain!! We received numerous compliments from our guests about the delicious food and impeccable service. The venue itself is stunning and we couldn’t have picked a better reception location. I literally gasped when I walked into the ballroom and saw it all come together with the white linens, the gold chivari chairs, the white dance floor, the blue ocean and sunlight streaming through the floor-to-ceiling windows. It was even more breathtaking as the sun was setting. Our reception was more beautiful than we could have imagined and I’m so glad we chose the Portofino!”
