I booked two separate trials with Lori to try out all kinds of different hair options, and she probably spent about 5 hours with me to make sure I was going with the hairstyle that would make me the happiest on the big day. She never made me feel rushed or annoying, even though I was being incredibly indecisive! Her shop is adorable and comfortable and the other people on her team were all fantastic - they showed up to my house the morning of the wedding on time, they breezed through everyone's hair and makeup in a timely fashion, and everyone looked gorgeous after all was said and done. As someone who really doesn't like to have a ton of makeup, I was super nervous about having our makeup professionally done, but I had nothing to worry about - it turned out amazing. One of my bridesmaids opted out of having her makeup done because she never likes how people do her makeup, but afterwards she told me that this was the one time she somewhat regretted not getting her makeup done because she loved how ours turned out so much. “Entertainment is arguably one of the most important and memorable aspects of a wedding, as it can truly make or break your day. Fortunately for me, I’ve worked in the service industry for over a decade and have seen my fair share of DJs and bands. This is how I met Paul. I always loved when he played at the bar I worked at because his sets were never the same—he read the room, kept the energy high, and was always amazing at it. I’ve also attended weddings where he DJ’d and MC’d, and those were the ones where I had the most fun. So, I was over the moon when I reached out and found out he was available for my wedding. I booked him immediately. Paul has been in the entertainment business for quite some time and offers more than just music. With options like customizable monogram/logo projections, a standalone or 360 photobooth (with an attendant and props), and uplighting, he helped us tailor our wedding experience to perfection. What I loved most about the photobooth was that we were able to pick our own template and backdrop and use our own logo/monogram for it. Guests received printed copies on the spot and digital copies sent to their phones. We also received a file of all the photos and GIFs taken, which was so fun to look back on. Paul has different equipment based on your space and vibe. The sleek white setup he brought to our small venue blended seamlessly with our aesthetic, while his ability to adapt his equipment ensured optimal sound quality throughout the day. From providing a lapel mic for our officiant to coordinating with our live acoustic cocktail hour, Paul went above and beyond to enhance every aspect of our day. Paul's responsiveness and flexibility, whether over email, text, or Zoom meetings, made the planning process seamless and stress-free. During the planning period, we met with him to discuss all the details like pre-ceremony music, procession, recession, introductions, first dance, last dance, parent dances, must-play songs, do-not-play songs, and whether or not we wanted requests (we opted for them, but only if they fit the vibe). He even let us cue up songs, coordinating with our wedding planner (for instance, signaling me when it was time for me to walk down the aisle). All of this was put in a shared Google spreadsheet and discussed during our meetings. He also had a remarkable ability to know exactly when to cut a song and have it fade out perfectly. As both DJ and MC, he effortlessly set the tone for the evening, keeping the dance floor packed and the atmosphere electric. He even looked like he was having a good time, cheering and dancing along with us. A few of our guests asked for his contact info and whether he did events other than weddings (which he does). He knew exactly what the crowd wanted and ensured everyone had a great time. And as an unexpected gift, his recording of our intro and first dance provided cherished memories we'll treasure forever, especially since we didn’t have a videographer. Thanks to Paul, our wedding was so much fun, filled with laughter, love, and plenty of dancing. We couldn't have asked for a better soundtrack to our special day.”

Weddings at ‪Blue Pit BBQ‬ are a party: fun and easy! We provide excellent food, drinks, and staff. Whatever you need, we handle. Our space is unique, rustic, and versatile, including a bar area, upstairs, and outdoor patio. Our focused cuisine means that it is perfected and tasty. Weddings come with a full buffet that includes all our meats, sides, cornbread and slider buns, and our vegan jackfruit. We refill the buffet as needed, and pack up any leftovers. Plus, open bar! We greet guests with welcome cocktails and offer a wide variety of beer, wine, spirits, cocktails and at least 70 different whiskeys. We help with planning, desserts and have our own photo booth for you to use. We try to provide everything you need so all you have to do is show up and have fun! “We rented half the upstairs area in Blue Pit for our rehearsal dinner and I have a feeling it won't be the last time we reach out to Blue Pit for an event or catering. Cara, the owner, is wonderful and very accommodating. The space is cute and quirky and doesn't need much decoration for events. The food is DELICIOUS every single time we visit and this was no exception. Our bartender and main point of contact for the night was Brad, who was amazing every step of the way. If I had to do it all over again, I would choose Blue Pit every time. You can't go wrong here.”

Saroj James Hyoju, got into DJ industry upon walking into Latin club in Dallas, Texas in 2015. Coming from band background, he was surprised to see how people were moved by “Gasolina”, a reggaeton song. Observing how DJ was controlling the crowd’s energy while enjoying himself, this made him curious about club music genres, besides metal and rock. Following immediately, he hosted a Bring Your Own Beer (BYOB) house party, where 50 people showed up. A week later, he was invited to co-DJ at one of his friends’ wedding reception and rest is the history.

“Hiring Saroj was the best move we made. He was FANTASTIC! He walked us through all the special songs we would need for our wedding, from the first dance until the last dance as we departed. We had no clue how many songs we would need to choose, his guidance saved the day. He kept us all on track and made sure our wedding went off without a stitch. Our guest couldn’t say enough about how great our music was and how great a job our DJ did. I can’t say enough about how great Saroj was. Any future events where a DJ is need will most certainly include him. We would never hire anyone else!”
