The Cracker Factory is a renovated industrial factory in Geneva, New York. This 65,000 square foot factory houses The Cracker Factory, 3Stories non-for-profit, and Miles and May Furniture Works. The Cracker Factory building, built in the early 1900s, was first home to Geneva Forge, a cutlery manufacturer. Since 2010, the second-floor gallery space has been in use for art shows, concerts, and events.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Wheelchair accessible
  • Provides event staff
  • Has a dance floor to dance the night away

Venue considerations

  • Large venue, not ideal for small guest lists
  • No on-site guest accommodations
  • Not for you if you are drawn to more unconventional venues
My partner and I live in New York City and weren't planning on having our wedding in the finger lakes. But we were taking a vacation up there shortly after having been engaged and decided to visit the Cracker Factory for "fun" to "practice seeing venues". And then we fell in love with the space. Suddenly, we were planning a finger lakes wedding. And boy am I glad we did. The space is just perfect for an event like this. It's big, but doesn't feel it. There's room for dancing, and for having a conversation with an old friend you can actually hear. The back bar is amazing, and the outdoor deck is just the right size. And the team was incredible as well. Amy and then Ashley were responsive, understanding, and incredibly accommodating. We wanted to do things a little different from the prototypical wedding, and Ashley helped us with it all. Genuinely, there were zero hitches the whole day (not counting my wife and I getting hitched). And the price for what you get? Incredibly reasonable! (as far as weddings go). Truly, we felt like we got a steal. TL;DR If we got married ten times, we'd do all ten at the Cracker Factory. It was everything we wanted and more.

Diamond on Seneca

5.0

Hector, NY
  • Up to 287 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor
  • Starts at $2,000

Built as a mansion, Diamond on Seneca has lived its life as a residence, winery, and banquet hall. Recent additions of overnight accommodations make Diamond the perfect location for a weekend wedding.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Classic elegance
  • Allows pets
  • Dressing room available

Venue considerations

  • Not for you if you are looking for something nontraditional
  • Best for events with big guest lists
  • No free parking
I toured and had brunch at Diamond on Seneca over the summer, and I was so excited to see this new venue is now opened! There is a wide and spacious terrace with gorgeous views of Seneca Lake, great for cocktail hours or even a ceremony. The food and cocktails are outstanding with lots of variety. The service was top notch, no surprise as this owner also owns New Park a very popular and beautiful venue spot closer to Ithaca. However, one other standout feature is the main dining room- complete with a floor to ceiling fireplace and huge windows with that beautiful lake view. This roomy dining room has so many possibilities: a winter wedding with snow, a fall wedding without worries of the weather - and still views of the lake and foliage, alternative options for Spring where it can be muddy or July where it's so hot. All of those concerns go away! This new space I am sure will book fast.

Awarded Best of Zola
David and I just had our wedding here this past Saturday. I could not ask for a more perfect venue - from the scenery, the beautiful Enchantment Garden, the proximity to the Falls and downtown Ithaca, to the amazing staff, food and service, we highly recommend the Inn at Taughannock Falls for a wedding venue, as well as a place to just stay the night and have an AMAZING meal from the restaurant (which we did the Thursday night before the wedding). All of our guests loved their accommodations, and Hillside house in particular served as the best "hang out", groomsmen getting ready, and after party spot. The full kitchen came in clutch for after party snacks and getting ready food. The Victorian Inn was literally perfect for hair and makeup and the fairly new 3rd salon is the ideal set up attached to a huge balcony overlooking the lake. What really made this wedding venue was the staff though. Later into the planning process, Amanda Hickey became our planner, after our previous planner Kelsey (who was also great) left. From day one Amanda was a rockstar - she was kind, thoughtful, helpful, extremely competent and organized. I did not feel like I had to start from scratch all over again with a new planner. She picked everything right back up and was key in making our perfect wedding day become a reality! Additionally, we would like to thank Stephenie who was very helpful throughout the process (including with getting us Cornell Dairy Bar for dessert!), Chef Justin, the pastry chef, Tania-Lynn, Loma, Gillian (so helpful attending to the bride the morning of the wedding and blocking traffic at the Falls first look), Carson (our personal server through the night who was so kind!!), Chloe, and all the other banquet staff! Our food options were impeccable and, while the short rib and halibut were slightly drier than preferred, they still tasted good! The cocktail hour stations and hor d'ourves were OUTSTANDING, and I must particularly thank and call out the Inn's chef and pastry chef making gluten free versions of everything for me (from the bread course, to Lobster puff pastry, and even special muffins at the Sunday breakfast) - and they did such a good job with it!!! All in all, this place is amazing and we highly recommend people have their wedding venue here (or at least visit it!). We cannot wait to come back to visit for our anniversaries too.
