I would patiently wait to lick the beaters...and the bowl while the cake was in the oven. Although I didn't realize it until I was grown and she was gone, how much that time together taught me. From sifting the flour, to knowing just the right temp for each recipe. I learned the basics and what it takes to make a cake from scratch.
