I’ve always had a love for flowers and a passion for creating beautiful things! My love for flowers and weddings started eary, long before I ever held a bouquet of my own. I grew up watching my grandmother work in the floral and wedding industry, and some of my earliest memories are of modeling flower girl dresses at bridal shows, wide-eyed at the beauty and joy all around me. Those experiences left a lasting impression, and it's no surprise that I eventually found my way back to this world, creating floral designs that bring happiness and meaning to others.

Growing up on a tree farm, plants quickly became part of my life. Observing how they grow, getting excited by the seasonal changes, and foraging to create arrangements became my passion. I love weddings and celebrations and incorporating flowers and greenery and unexpected touches.

I’m Ashley, the designer behind Ash + Ether. I create florals that feel personal, intentional, and rooted in the season and setting of your day. I don’t copy inspiration photos — I translate your ideas into something original, abundant, and artfully crafted using local flowers whenever possible. My work is sculptural and foam-free when I can be, and I stay hands-on from design through teardown to make sure everything feels cohesive and beautifully placed.

Sarcasm & Sunshine Designs is comprised of two friends, turned business partners. We worked together for several years planning events and weddings, so we have a shared love of sparkle, flowers, coffee, and making beautiful memories! We couldn't think of a better way to celebrate our growth as friends, mothers and confidants, than to combine our creativity and passions to create one of a kind items to brighten the days and lives of others. After 4 years of floral experience and doing all the flowers for my own wedding, I decided that I wanted to make wedding flowers accessible and affordable for everyone You'll find I am VERY open about budgets and I work extremely hard to make sure you don't have to sacrifice anything for your special day. 

I started working with wood flowers in February of 2020. A friend of mine had recently gotten married, and seeing her bouquet in the trash stuck with me. I researched fresh vs silk flowers, fresh are stunning but expensive & have a fast expiration date. Silk flowers didn’t really satisfy the customization and realism that I desired. I stumbled across wood flowers, purchased a few & quickly realized that not only was I actually a little talented at what I was doing, but I absolutely LOVED doing it. I fell in love almost immediately. I want to express my love & passion for these wood flowers & I want brides to fall in love the same way I did.

I have been doing wedding floral for almost 13 years and I have loved every minute! I love being a part of making someone’s special day memorable and beautiful. I help make your day one of a kind, just like you!
