They truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our day. Our wedding cake alone showed the level of care and attention they put into every detail. The cake was beautiful—three tiers of vanilla, red velvet, and vanilla. But when we cut into it, there was a little surprise waiting for us. About 11 months before the wedding, during our very first meeting with Miriam, my (now) wife casually mentioned that her absolute favorite cake is tres leches. She also knew it was something she’d never ask for, because nobody makes tres leches as a stacked wedding cake—it’s too moist, too delicate, and it would normally collapse under its own weight. And yet, somehow, Miriam remembered that small comment from nearly a year earlier and had her chef work a hidden tres leches layer into the bottom tier just for her. It was an unbelievable gesture and such a meaningful surprise. They also saved the day with the flowers. The bouquet we ordered from a local florist didn’t come out right, and my wife was disappointed. I mentioned it to Miriam earlier that morning, just in conversation, and when we arrived at the beach for the ceremony, she had arranged for her florist to create a brand-new bouquet—completely free of charge. She didn’t have to do that. But that’s the thing: she wasn’t just the person coordinating our wedding; she genuinely cared about our wedding. And there’s a real difference between a planner who shows up, does everything they’re supposed to do, and does it well… and a planner who shows up, does it well, and truly cares about their clients. That difference showed in every detail of our day.
