Hello Lovely! So happy you're here! My story of becoming a photographer is unconventional like all the best stories are. I was always the quiet artsy-fartsy kid, more artsy than fartsy, I promise. As a child who dealt heavily with an anxiety disorder and depression my only solace was taking my bright pink barbie film camera out to the back porch to take photos of the sky. My parents weren’t the happiest about the frequent weekly trips to the film lab but oh the wonder my little fingertips felt every time I opened up a new envelope to reveal the magic I had created inside. That feeling of magic has never stopped.

Born and raised in the Hudson Valley, New York. I’ve always had my finger on the pulse with anything involving art. Spending 12 years doing hair at top salons and my entire life composing music professionally, it wasn’t until about 7 years ago working on my first photo shoot that I realized I had a “problem”. This new found love in my life was capturing moments in time for amazing people. In everything I do, the story tells it all. Having the privilege to share and work with so many incredible people has been a part my story. I can’t wait to be apart of your life’s moments that tell the story for time to come.

I’m a lover of adventure, a dreamer, an artist, and - full disclosure - slightly addicted to wedding cake. Actually, all cake. Actually actually, most desserts, in general. I was born and raised in St. Louis, and am a fan of all things arts & crafts, especially counted cross stitch; irony, tattoos, anything Chris Cornell, most nerdy things but above all Harry Potter (Ravenclaws, holler at your girl), heartbreaking harmonies, inventing my own words, golden hour sunflares, leopard print, neon signs, and stopping to smell the roses.

I'm St Louis wedding photographer, Becky Hassel. I don't believe I chose wedding photography. I believe I was destined for this role. Twenty eight years ago my grandfather passed away. The only thing I have left of my childhood best friend are memories and those memories, in my own aging, are slowly fading. My name is Jake Schuchardt and I am the owner/operator of Four Corners Weddings. It all started as a favor for a friend. I played college baseball in Denver and after college I had a close friend and teammate who wanted me to marry him and his wife in a small outdoor ceremony in California. I was working as a pastor and baseball and softball coach, but had never performed a wedding. Through weeks of preparation and practice, the wedding went off without a hitch and they are still married to this day. Fast forward to today, I have officiated over 150 weddings and would love to officiate yours!
