I was a photographer for years but always eager to be a videographer as many of my clients failed to get great films of their weddings. I thought he could do something better than others and started to shoot the weddings with both photography and cinematography. I was digging to find the most beautiful shots for every wedding, Frank Ahn films became one of the famous professional cinematography companies in NYC. In the 1950s & 60s, The Bronx was home to an amazing photographer that captured weddings and family events. His name? Warren Meurer aka the “Silverfox” (due to his flowing silver and gray locks). The Ladybugs’ varied repertoire of music is enhanced by the enchanting, dulcet tones of voices and trombones. The music we play is a unique blend of genres we call “Dreamy Latin cowgirl jazz.” We combine our love and reverence for the classic Great American Songbook repertoire with the music of our Latin American heritage (specifically Cuban, Colombian and Brazilian) to create a unique sound. The Ladybugs’ repertoire includes favorites from the 1920s, ‘30s, and ‘40s, infused with Western swing, blues, Latin, and classical music.

Lydia Paulos is a Brooklyn-based cellist. She plays regularly for theater productions and cabarets, including Alice By Heart at MCC Theater and various shows at The Green Room 42 and 54 Below; she often collaborates with composers for new works or shows. She has performed as a part of various orchestras and chamber ensembles in New York, most recently as a member of Crosswinds Quartet & the Femmelody Chamber Music Collective.

New York’s Best Little Big Band provides an authentic big band sound with a dynamic three horn section and driving rhythm section. Led my NY music producer and educator, David Fletcher, the band performs at any kind of event. The band can perform with or without one of our guest vocalists.

Hot Jazz of the 20’s consists of two guitars, string bass and jazz violin. It is reminiscent of the hot jazz sound popular in 1902’s Paris. The two most famous artists of this period are violinist Stefan Grapelli and the gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt.

Will is an accomplished musician and conductor. He has performed on numerous cast recordings of broadway musicals including My Fair Lady, Fiddler on the Roof, and the 2014 Tony Awards. He conducted the national tour of Miss Saigon, the 2015 Fiddler on the Roof revial, and the revial of my Fair Lady at Lincoln Theater. He maintains a vibrant teaching practice at the Elisabeth Morrow School, the Wilton Music Studios, and School for Strings. He brings his leadership skills and his well developed patience as an teacher to private event performances.

Ai has been working as a hair and makeup artist in New York for 20 years now. She has done hair and makeup for major magazines, numerous CD cover shots for artists from Japan, U.S. Europe, as well as Japanese and U.S. television shows, filmed in New York. While doing all this, Ai has worked with weddings and has been in charge of the hair and makeup for over 50 weddings per year. Ai acquired her skills through on the job training in Japan and has since refined her trade in New York.
