Coming from a background in fashion, I am trained to notice details. When shooting a wedding dress, for example, I care deeply about the texture of the fabric, the artful sweep, and the arc of the design, the interplay of subtle ivory-like colors. I believe finding and elevating the details allows me to tell a more connected, compelling story in my photographs. Many brides gravitate toward my photos because they are drawn to the honoring of the feminine in my work. Overall, my tone is neither light and airy, nor is it dark and moody. I prefer my images right in the middle with a blend of vibrant color and drama.

Mina Dimakis-Lev has been a professional makeup artist and licensed Esthetician for the past 17 years. She has attended Christine Valmy Esthetics School and the International Dermal Institute. After her education, she proceeded to freelance as a high profile regional makeup artist and esthetician for Nars Cosmetics and Estee Lauder, from New York to Boca Raton, Florida. Among other things, she has worked on Miss Honduras/Miss Universe of 2015, Mrs. India/Universe 2016 as well as Miss New Jersey 2012 along side high fashion models and actresses.

Inspired by neo-soul greats like D’Angelo and Erykah Badu, Fake Tapes is all about the pleasure principle. Lead singer Kyla’s voice zig-zags assuredly above mischievous harmonic twists and sharp, understated grooves as she spins oblique stories of heartbreak and hope in New York City. Their debut, self-titled EP was released in December 2018 and is available on all major listening platforms. A&R Factory said Kyla “doesn’t hold much restraint when it comes to saying what’s on her mind… and that’s just one of the reasons why her approach is so refreshing.”
