We are a non-profit, Member supported organization nestled in the suburbs of the East Bay. The Garden itself is the foremost example of garden design with climate-resilient plants. Consequently, it is known as one of the finest dry gardens in the world. The Garden displays an expansive collection of plants that Ruth collected for over 60 years; many of which were in gallon-sized pots or smaller. As a result, every season offers something new in the Garden and visitors find themselves in awe of the boldness, beauty and longevity of Ruth’s hard work! The Garden’s mission is to preserve, promote, and enhance Ruth Bancroft’s world-class collection of water-conserving plants displayed in her exceptionally designed garden for the education, inspiration, and enjoyment of the public.

Our family farm was founded on the mission to serve the Sacramento region. Our goal is to promote healthy living through the disruption of inequitable food systems and the creation of a sustainable community garden that will provide free produce for families in need. We are a small family venture that has been dedicated to serving youth & families within the Sacramento community for the past 18 years. With a heart to serve others, we took a leap on this farm and now we would love to share our space with you. With over 12,000 sqft of outdoor space, our event space boast multiple ceremony locations, 3 lawns, an 1800 sqft covered space, and Oliver, our family bull who loves being a special guest at your wedding. Our event space also has some of the most amazing sunsets for you to enjoy.

This venue is a property of historic significance in south Sacramento County dating back to the ranch's founding in 1870 by businessman John McFarland. ​ Today, McFarland Ranch is preserved and curated in its original 1800's splendor by the Galt Area Historical Society. The Ranch provides spectacular views of breathtaking beauty that serve as a dramatic backdrop for any event. ​ The venue consists of 40 acres located adjacent to the gorgeous Cosumnes River Preserve to the west and open space and agricultural lands to the north, south and east.

Our ceremony area is comfortably enveloped within an intimate circular seating. The Wolfe Heights ceremony garden is approachable through a trail of white tree roses, and punctuated by a wisteria-covered pavilion. Just beyond our unity circle rests a smaller sacred circle, where your first photos as a married couple will be beautifully back-dropped. The spacious courtyard provides plenty of room for table seating up to 300 guests. As evening descends and stars emerge, romantic string lights outline the dance floor and 400 square foot cascading fountain. We also have a tavern-style bar, equipped with drink refrigerators, beer taps, cocktail tables and bar stools. Its grand arched double doors make it a great photo backdrop and when ready open out to the courtyard.. Wolfe Heights has a well-appointed 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom Estate House featuring a stunning bridal suite. You can also “make a night of it”, as the house can be reserved for an overnight stay.
