Welcome to the historic Rengstorff House, Mountain View’s oldest home and one of the finest examples of Victorian Italianate architecture on the West Coast! We are located at 3070 N. Shoreline Boulevard. Fully restored in 1991, the Rengstorff House features: a Victorian Italianate design with a hip roof; a central gable crowned by a widow's walk; a front portico; and a symmetrical room layout. The gracious dining room and four lovely parlors downstairs, all decorated with classic period décor, open up to brick patios surrounded by manicured lawns, blooming flowers and natural areas. Nearby you will find the Shoreline Lake, Golf Links, and two, classic eateries to enjoy and explore.

Opened in spring of 2001, the Los Altos History Museum resides in an impressive three-level, 8,200-square-foot building – built entirely with private donations; building ownership was transferred to the City of Los Altos in 2002. The Museum features a changing exhibits gallery as well as the permanent exhibit, “Crown of the Peninsula,” that describes the rich history of Los Altos and the surrounding area.

Modeled after the Colosseum in Rome, California Memorial Stadium (est. 1923) is an enduring symbol of the University of California campus - home to many of the greatest moments in the history of Cal Athletics. Designed by renowned architect John Galen Howard and originally opened in the fall of 1923, Memorial Stadium underwent seismic renovations in Dec. 2010 to bring the facility up to modern standards - all while maintaining the architecture and character of the celebrated structure. The Oakland Scottish Rite Center was completed in 1927, with over a thousand craftsmen working on the project. The construction cost was approximately $1.5 million. This was a sizeable sum at the time equivalent to about $22 million today. From ground breaking to completion the edifice was erected in just two years. This is the second temple in Oakland built from the ground up by the Scottish Rite Masonic fraternity since 1883, when it was first chartered in Oakland.

Located in the scenic Carneros Region at the south end of the Napa Valley, di Rosa opened to the public in 1997 as part of Rene di Rosa's vision for an “art park” accessible to the greater public, the property now encompasses multiple galleries, a lush courtyard, and a sculpture meadow that are all protected in perpetuity under the Napa County Land Trust.  di Rosa is pleased to hold private events on the property, including corporate events, retreats, meetings, birthdays, and private rentals.

The San Mateo County Historical Association operates three historical sites: the San Mateo County History Museum in Redwood City, the Woodside Store in Woodside, and the Sanchez Adobe in Pacifica. It also runs school programs at the Folger Stable in Woodside. The original goals of the Historical Association have expanded to include providing meaningful learning experiences for the county’s residents and guests, with special attention devoted to children’s programs. Through hands-on experiences, students are much more likely to learn, appreciate, and integrate historical information into their current lives.
