Hello Friends! My name is Lori - the owner, & the face behind it all! A lot of people always ask - how did you get started in this line of work? The story isn’t as cool as some would think. So here it is. Short & sweet. My sister was expecting her third baby, she was in her third trimester and I decided to plan a baby shower because what the heck, every new baby deserves to be celebrated.

Growing up, I was obsessed with magical love stories. Fairy tale love stories always left me with a euphoric feeling. I now get to document these stories being a professional photographer, & I LOVE IT! This is not a job for me but a passion that I am grateful to pursue. There are many good photographers out there, but what makes me unique is my passion for what I do. I will do anything to capture the most intimate moments for you to enjoy for a lifetime. If I must get in a tree, lay in a mud puddle, or wade in water to get the perfect shot, I will do it!

The Hive is a beautiful event center located in Staley, NC. We are situated on 200 acres of rolling farm land in Randolph county NC. Our facility began life as the clubhouse for Ferguson Farms Golf Course. When the golf course closed in 2012, it sat abandoned until our family came across the land. We came across this gem while we were searching for a larger property to expand our farm. It had been neglected for so many years, but we immediately saw great potential in its natural beauty, barns, and clubhouse. The streams, ponds, and woodlands teamed with wildlife and we just knew this farm had to been revived into something new, a place where joy, laughter and unity would be experienced.
