Mariachi Hidalgo was founded in 2017 and is led by our Musical Director Hernan Hidalgo Treviño who is a first-generation musician within his family. At the age of 21, Hernan is New York City’s, as well as the East Coast’s, 1st ever “Youngest Musical Director of a Mariachi Band”. Hernan graduated from the CUNY of Hunter College as a Music and History major to better prepare himself for both the musical and culture of mariachi. Within the first 2 years, Mariachi Hidalgo has performed in some of New York's exclusive places. Hernan's main goal is to inspire and motivate other youths to continue this musical tradition of mariachi.

Bethany Lancaster is a performer, teacher, and collaborator based in the Piedmont Triad. She runs Lune River Harp Studio, which seeks to instill an admiration for the musical arts, inspire students to reach their full potential, and create lasting memories with each performance. Known for her passionate and masterful performances, Bethany plays regularly as a soloist and ensemble member. She has dedicated herself to learning the harp so that she can help others experience its beauty, and to this end, she received her Masters of Music in Harp Performance from the University of Michigan.

DJ Jazzy J first played her way onto the music scene in 2013. DJ Jazzy J surely knows how to mix it up with new and old sounds. Jazzy J will help plan the wedding by providing a questionnaire to pick out the music and help with the order of the reception. She will make fun and professional announcements, and provide lights for the dance floor. In addition to just playing music, for an additional charge, you can add on karaoke, games, a custom Snapchat filter, and more to any wedding service!
