Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

5.0

Oklahoma City, OK
  • Serves Detroit Lakes, MN

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

I was a little concerned about doing my own flowers as I am not artistic or good at that kind of thing, but Flower Moxie made the entire process so easy!! I did a customized order so I was able to work with a professional florist to get exactly what I wanted. They were extremely helpful from picking out the flowers, to how to build them, to timelines, and everything else you needed. I 100% recommend these services! I saved so much money and had such a fun time doing it!!!

The Faux Bouquets

5.0

Redlands, CA
  • Starts at $175
  • Serves Detroit Lakes, MN

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

There have been so many stressful things about wedding planning, but the flowers with Faux Bouquets have been the least stressful. All I had to do was find some inspiration on Pinterest. After this, Brittany went to work and created my bouquet. We met over Google meets which was super easy, and she was so positive and kind. I told her that we changed some colors around in our color scheme and she went off camera, came back on and they were added to my bouquet. I think the most beautiful thing is that no matter how she mixed up my floral arrangement, it still was beautiful. After our phone call, I got a complete photo shoot of everything we ordered. Then in about 3 weeks, everything was shipped to my house. I do not have to worry about flowers dying, or flowers looking too fake (because they really look real) or even having to schedule a day to go pick them up. All I had to do was find pictures on Google and watch her do her magic over a 15-minute video call (if that long). If you are looking for something easy, stress-free, and beautiful, I would definitely use Faux Bouquets.

I did a lot of searching and looking into different diy flower companies. As soon as I came across bloom culture and read some of the reviews I knew I wanted to go with them! Alison was so friendly and personable and so easy to work with. She helped put me at ease by answering all of my questions and even helped me to swap out a couple of the flowers in one of the packages to better match my vision for my wedding. I was a little nervous about the flowers lasting all the way until the wedding day (my wedding was on a Sunday and they arrived Wednesday) but by the day of they had opened up beautifully and looked amazing. There were also hardly any flowers damaged or broken when they arrived. With all of the detailed instructions and recipes they provided, putting together the flowers was honestly a breeze once we got started. We didn’t follow the instructions specifically because I had a different number of bouquets, center pieces, etc. that I need to make, but the recipes and instructions were still super helpful. I also watched Alison’s YouTube videos beforehand which helped a ton! Overall very happy with the quality of the flowers, the price, and the excellent customer service. Cannot recommend enough!
