I'm Danielle Maggio, owner and principal photographer at Artful Documentary Photography. I’m based in Dallas, TX after having lived and worked in Southeast Asia for six years prior. I'm a classically trained photographer with an education in art and photography from MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art) in Baltimore, MD. As a student, I worked as an intern for various wedding and portrait photographers and learned a ton! Now, after 10 years I still love capturing love stories. Over the years, I developed my own style - colorful, light & airy, with lots of joy and a little whimsy.

Photography has been my creative outlet in a professional way for a number of years now. I love to be able to tell a story from peoples lives, and their special days. I’ve always been someone who loves to travel, and who loves to meet new people, no matter how awkward, how quiet, loud, or shy you are - I’d love to meet you! Coffee is a great way to spend time with me outside of your session. Every good conversation has most likely had coffee in the middle of it somewhere. I’m also huge baseball fan- it has been a part of my life for a very long time.

Just like you, I have felt awkward in front of the camera. I’ve had photos taken of me that I didn’t like. When you go on a session with me, I will not only make you feel comfortable, but I will make sure you look good! I will give you prompts to keep you moving and laughing. Hey! I'm Souke and I'm your new photographer ;) I'm new to Texas as of March 2022 and thanks to you guys, I've been having an incredible time kickstarting my career here. My journey with photography started very early - I've always been fascinated by cameras. It wasn't until 2017 when I finally took the leap to start my own business officially. When I'm not shooting, I love being outdoors, trying new food, playing games, and spending time with loved ones! I have several tattoos, LOVE dogs, and am a sucker for anything mint chocolate. I’m Jessie & my husband is Dylan. We are a husband and wife duo serving Austin Texas and Beyond... We are high school sweethearts and have been together since we were 16 years old. We have two crazy kiddos and two golden doodle pups, named Kevin and Theodore.
