We wanted a photographer who wouldn't be imposing on the day and who would capture the story our wedding rather than just take a lot of clean cut portraits. That being said, the portraits we did take were also stunning, so if that's what you want, just let her know! She's great at both, just tends towards more journalistic. After canceling our wedding 2 times due to Covid, Matt & I discussed the possibility of eloping to Jackson Hole, WY. I knew that Bob & Jamie have visited there enough to claim it as their 2nd home (lol) so I reached out for some advice/recommendations regarding the area & eloping. They not only offered a ton of knowledge about Jackson, they said they were available to travel and shoot our wedding. We booked them right away!!! They helped Matt & I EVERY step of the way. I said I wanted to be married inside in front of a large stone fireplace and have pictures taken outside with the snow covered mountains afterwards. They immediately went to work searching for hotels with stone fireplaces & locations (yes, multiple) for scenic wedding photos. Once those decisions were made, they helped select a restaurant for wedding dinner and plan our excursions. Bob even offered to be the tour guide for our snowmobile trip to Granite Hot Springs. These two went way above and beyond wedding photographers! Our wedding day was truly a dream come true (Hallmark movie worthy) and I can’t thank Jamie enough for capturing every part of it. “Working with Jen was the best experience and we feel so lucky to be a part of her absolute ART. I (bride) was struggling looking for a photographer and asked my cousin (bridesmaid), a photographer herself, for help. She got to work and when she sent me Jen’s website, she said, “All of the images are gorgeous.” I had an inkling we were on to something as I filled out Jen’s very thoughtful inquiry form. Her response had such genuine and positive energy, and the rest is history! Because we are based in Brooklyn, we considered passing on the included engagement session but, to use Jen’s words, she “respectfully insisted” on coming to Brooklyn. My groom was explicitly comfortable having his photo taken, but quickly warmed up to the idea. Jen collaborated so thoughtfully with us and we chose a few locations meaningful to us as well as some classic shots on the Brooklyn Bridge. It was probably one of my favorite “dates” ever and Jen was the perfect third wheel. We even asked her along to our weekly Drag Bingo ritual after. The photos themselves (no surprise!) were incredible. We loved them and so did everyone else! They were personal and beautiful and cool, and we had a blast. I frequently commented over the course of wedding planning that the one thing we weren’t worried about was photography. We even used engagement photos as decor at the wedding and on matchbox favors! Jen was so supportive and interactive with us, both formally (more thoughtful forms!) and informally (little check-ins and chats over text/DM). We experienced a few challenges with our wedding venue over the course of planning, but there was so much comfort in knowing that besides enjoying a day with our people, we would have fantastic pictures because of Jen! We did first look and some of our photos before the ceremony and Jen got us in the groove for sure. It was really grounding to have that time together and just be able to trust fully that Jen would capture and deliver our dream photographs. Jen is a total pro and helped keep us to the schedule, but also kept us relaxed and enjoying the time. We were honestly sad to say goodbye at the end of the night, but she has a standing invite to Brooklyn. She sent us a few pictures just hours after the reception and a full sneak peek in under a week. We are, of course, THRILLED with the photos. We will treasure these captured moments forever!! We look forward to enthusiastically recommending Jen at every opportunity. We will always be grateful to have worked with such a talented, dedicated, thoughtful photographer who is also just a really good time. Our wedding was in our backyard and Bachettis, specifically our contact Aurora, did an awesome job answering our questions and helping us navigate how to do a backyard wedding. Bachettis was able to provide rentals such as linens, tables, a tent, and all the table wear that made doing the wedding in our backyard so easy. Aurora was very organized, quick to email back, and super helpful for all our dumb questions. Additionally the crew the day of the wedding did a fantastic job making the day run smoothly and the food was delicious!
