“I had the most beautiful bouquet for my City Hall civil ceremony, but no firm plans for the bouquet post-wedding. My florist friend shared Jackie's contact information with me and I contacted her to see if she had the capacity for a last-minute bouquet preservation. Luckily, she had availability and a few hours later, I was taking an impromptu day trip to Cold Spring with my husband. Jackie met us at the station and was so incredibly kind. She gave us a few suggestions of eateries to check out while we were in town. We had a symbolic ceremony a week later and I was so pleased with the service received with my first bouquet, that I asked Jackie to preserve that bouquet as well. Throughout both bouquet preservations, Jackie was very responsive and answered any questions I had. She shared a layout of both bouquets prior to framing and packaged up both frames nicely, with bags, (this is a big deal when you're taking the train) when we returned to Cold Spring for pickup. I'd highly recommend her services to preserve a piece of your special day.”

“Obviously the best part of our wedding was marrying my wife (!!) but a close runner up was getting to know and work with Amanda! In addition to being an excellent photographer, she is just a charming, lovely, and warm person who is a genuine pleasure to be around. Having Amanda as our photographer felt like we had an extra friend at the wedding! She went above and beyond her professional obligations to make a comfortable atmosphere for all our guests and made a specific effort ahead of the wedding to get to know us and our preferences. During the wedding planning stages she even helped us out by giving advice on her knowledge of venues as we were looking for one and helped us figure out timings and order of events for the day of the wedding! During the cocktail hour my bustling for my dress accidentally ripped out and Amanda and her wife took it upon themselves to help me fix it alongside my wedding party members, which was so kind of them and a perfect example of the kind of person Amanda is. My wife is not terribly comfortable in front of cameras but Amanda did an excellent job of making them feel relaxed and natural as the subject of photography rather than the one behind the camera. Our wedding party members, friends, and family had nothing but positive things to say about her to us after the wedding, and we were especially impressed with her quick turnaround time on sending us previews of the wedding photos. Amanda’s assistant Rylan took the photos for our sangeet the night before our wedding and did an admirable job of adapting to the chaos of a mostly-unstructured event. He graciously accommodated unscheduled requests for family group photos even though we had initially asked him to come to capture mostly candids. When a double rainbow appeared during sunset he made sure to capture photos of us with it!”

Working with her has been a pleasure and I felt as if I were talking to one of my best friends. Sandy is a great salesperson. She not only explains what La Mila offers but she does it in a way that is transparent and has no unexpected costs and “fine print”. She communicates well and is direct, which I appreciate. She’s a talker and I don’t mean that negatively. She makes you feel like family most sincerely. In terms of planning and coordination, Sandy was excellent and they’re lucky to have her. Menu: When creating the menu my sister wanted Mediterranean food. Now, I believe that their specialty is Mediterranean cuisine, but they do not shy away from other cuisines. Their menu is extensive and will cater to anyone’s taste. Skies the limit! We had quite a bit of offerings for Cocktail hour, Dinner, and Dessert. We were able to have a tasting which helped us narrow down if what was selected previously was what they wanted for the day of the wedding. There we met Elie (E-Lee NOT El-lee) and Heidi, the owners, and Sandy in person. Elie is the head chef and knows what he’s doing in the kitchen. Everything was cooked to perfection; delicious tasting and the portions were filling. Aside from the food it was obvious that Elie and Heidi work hard for their business and are truly dedicated. Day of the wedding: Elie, Heidi and their team worked based on the wedding timeline that I created. They were on time to serve all their food. I can’t tell you how many times I saw Elie walking back and forth to check on food and to bring food. That guy was moving! Heidi did all of the cocktail and dessert table placement and more. They are a hardworking team and I highly recommend them. From start to finish it was easy and perfectly executed. Point blank the food was delicious and I wish they had a restaurant so I could eat there all the time. She has such a natural talent for floral arrangements and everything she creates is absolutely gorgeous. My wedding flowers were perfect and more beautiful than I could have imagined. Melissa took my ideas and ran with them, creating unique and beautiful arrangements. She even thought of small details like drying the stems of our bouquets and providing extra vases to display the bouquets at the reception. My passion for flowers and plants started when I was a child. Growing up in the middle of nowhere was the best thing to allow my imagination to flourish. The school day would end and I would be rushing off the bus to help my grandparents plant seedlings or pick the harvest from the garden. My parents had flower beds and brought the beautiful flowers inside to enjoy as well. I am passionate about being able to replicate flower gardens into a gorgeous design but also creating a unique design just for your day!
