“I cannot say enough good things about the Elmwood Park Zoo! My husband and I started our venue search knowing we were never going to have our wedding in a standard banquet hall or venue space. It was always going to be outside or somewhere unique. We fell in love with the zoo after touring it. The space is beautiful and well sized for the amount of people at our reception (75). Our guests absolutely loved it as well and still talk about it months afterwards. Torry was amazing in her communication and in helping me make decisions on the day of (yes, it rained…but let me tell you it did not matter one bit. If this is what you are afraid of, take the risk- their backup rain plan worked perfectly for us!) 10/10 for uniqueness, our guests got to walk the zoo, I love our carousel wedding photos (and our porcupine wedding photo!), and we even got to feed giraffes in our fancy clothes! The food and drinks were great, too….get that s'mores station, you know you want to!”

“*Please note, we booked Cedar Run for the ceremony only* One of the biggest takeaways we received from our wedding was how much everybody liked the ceremony. The beautiful view of the amphitheatre on the lake was absolutely gorgeous, and the weather held up beautifully! We paid extra for the animal ambassadors to make an appearance and it was worth every penny because they were a huge hit with wedding guests. We booked our reception hall first, so we needed a place that would allow us to do only our ceremony, and Cedar Run was the only place nearby that was affordable and actually gave us additional amenities for the cost. Not to mention your donation goes towards the upkeep of the facility and helping out the animals! We were also very big on having a backup plan just in case of inclement weather and they have at least two facilities that could work during rain. The lake, bridge, and woods all make for beautiful shots as you can see. The staff was great to work with and the animals are the cherry on top. Photo Credit: Cyan Blue Photography”
