“Sophie was a light during all of our interactions with one another! From the beginning with negotiations, to the final products, she was always attentive and so so easy to work with! When we first reached out, I had a million and one questions (frazzled bride haha) and she was so patient with me! On top of that, she was so accommodating! There were things that I would ask for that she may not have had access to immediately (i.e. a drone, 2nd shooter, etc.) And she would admit to not having these things, but no less than an hour after our correspondence, she would come to me beaming saying "We have a drone now!! We have a second shooter!!" She was always willing to do whatever it took to get the job done, and I absolutely loved that! Her attention to detail during the wedding meant the world to me and my now-husband - he can be a bit shy, but Sophie and her co-shooter Tim were so patient and kind! They got all the shots that we wanted and then some! Our final products were amazing - my favorite part was how receptive Sophie was to feedback! In the end, everything she produced was breathtaking, and boy did we shed a ton of tears while watching! Open and honest throughout the process especially if delays were to be had, we got all of our products in a beyond reasonable time, and now we have a keepsake to remember our wedding for days to come. I cannot recommend Sophie (and Tim!) enough. How lucky we were to have them be a part of our day 3”

She was so organized, and helped our day go super smooth. She provided questionnaires for us to make sure we were on the same page, and knew our values. We met a week before the wedding to go over details, and prepare for the big day which made us get super excited for everything too! “My husband and I frequently find ourselves looking at each other and exclaiming, “we had the perfect wedding.” And we did, it was perfect in every way we could have imagined. I’m certain that we wouldn’t be able to say that if we hadn’t worked with MB Events. For context, I didn’t want a wedding. I wanted to elope because it would be easy and I just wanted to be married, but my husband encouraged me to consider an intimate wedding with our closest friends and family on his parents’ property. He also insisted on getting a wedding planner to make this as stress-free as possible for both of us. We talked to several wedding planners, but when we got off the phone with Marissa from MB Events, I immediately said “she’s the one.” Marissa was the only planner we talked to who asked about our story, our families, and our feelings right off the bat. She listened to us and gave us frank, honest advice about planning a “backyard wedding” (spoiler: it takes a village). I was truly starry-eyed while talking to her because she is the epitome of calm confidence. Now, this land needed some serious TLC… I remember when MB Events first came to look at the property, it was hard for any of us to imagine how we could turn it into our wedding venue, but Marissa saw through the wild overgrowth and created the loveliest vision that we never would have thought of without her help. It was the spark that motivated us to make this work. We didn’t really know what we wanted this wedding to look like, only some vague ideas: warm and whimsical, like a garden party with lots of light and color. We shared Pinterest boards with a wild mix of inspiration, and she was able to sift through all our ideas to nail down a theme that considered who we are as individuals and as a couple. Planning a wedding on family land requires a lot more thought and effort than a wedding at a venue. You need to consider things like bathroom trailers, weather protection, parking, and countless other things that were not even close to the front of our minds. MB Events thought of everything – this was clearly not their first rodeo. Marissa put together floor plans, mood boards, and schedules detailed down to the minute. She held our hands through every step of the process, kept in contact via call and text, and sent us reminders to be sure that nothing was forgotten. We took all her recommendations without question, including her vendor recs (which are top tier, btw), and I’m so glad we did. There are no words to adequately capture how incredible our wedding turned out to be. It all came together seamlessly, and we’ve been so humbled by the number of compliments we’ve received from our guests. But the best part for us was not having to worry about a single thing the entire wedding day. Knowing MB Events had everything handled gave us the peace of mind to be fully present (especially on the dance floor), and that is a gift that we will be forever grateful to them for. It’s priceless. At the end of the night, we exchanged tearful goodbyes; it feels like we’ve known them for ages instead of a year. It’s so obvious that they love what they do. Their love, care, and authenticity radiates. We cannot recommend MB Events enough; we can say confidently that our wedding day was the best day of our lives, and considering one of us didn’t want a wedding in the first place, we think that’s saying something. 10/10 would renew our vows just to do it all over again.”

“I was referred to Birch Fields by my cousin (who used Birch Fields for her wedding) 2 weeks before my June 2020 Covid wedding. We decided last minute to have the wedding even if it was just going to be immediate family. Because no extended family or friends were allowed at the time we wanted a way to record the day as if they were there. I had posted I was looking for someone to shoot on a VHS camcorder and film the whole wedding start to finish with no breaks just like old family videos we had growing up. “When we were booking vendors, I wanted wedding professionals. I wanted people who knew the industry inside and out because we were DIY-ing our wedding and without a planner. When you book someone for your wedding, youre not just booking their service- youre booking their industry knowledge and Magnus has a LOT of knowledge and such a big heart. My example of this is within 4 hours of submitting an initial inquiry, we had an email with a scheduled time to call to chat about his services and our wedding plans to see if they matched. What really got our hearts though was before we agreed to work together, he helped me fine tune the schedule I had in my head for the wedding day. He helped us with our timeline not because he was trying to “sell” us on him, and he didnt say “if we work together I’ll help you with the timeline” which would have been perfect acceptable. He helped me because he cares about weddings and wanted to make sure regardless of who we went with for a DJ that we had a good foundation. After that call, I told Collin I wanted Magnus on our wedding team and we didnt need to even consider anyone else and let me tell you - that was one of the best decisions we made. Throughout the process he gave great ideas based on his experience not only for the party (DO THE 10-15 MINUTE DANCE PARTY!!!) but on other aspects of our wedding as well. You’re not just working with an “oh you got a *DJ* DJ!!”as my friend so excitedly said after the music started, you’re working with a professional big hearted person with years of experience who is here to help you have the best time. Our day was truly the best and Magnus was a huge part of that. Once the music started, our dance floor was packed and stayed packed to the bitter end! “We met with maybe… 30 photographers… and knew from our first call with Kate that she would be the perfect fit for us! She is so lovely - friendly, calm, funny, and really listens. We did not want our day to be all about the pictures, but of course wanted great photos to have forever. Kate was proactive and a great communicator during the planning process, answered any questions that came up promptly, and helped with our timeline. Kate made us feel so comfortable - which is probably the most important thing to find in a photographer. She was great at reading the room (and dynamics) and could tell when we were “all done” at certain times with photos. I spent endless days searching and searching for a band. So many of wedding bands, sound just like that, a wedding band. But Champagne Casanova is not your typical “wedding band.” They are just a straight up talented group of incredible musicians. We hired them to do music through our ceremony, perform at cocktail hour, and perform for our reception. They surpassed any expectations I may have had for our wedding. So many of our guests asked me how I found them, and were so floored by their performance that they wanted their business card. Daniel, Crystal and the crew were absolutely exceptional and I truly believe that if you don’t hire them for your wedding, you are doing yourselves and your guests a disservice. Our flowers fit our vibe perfectly: I wanted something to pull from the venue's brick, but not look too "autumny" for our January wedding, and they nailed it! They look and feel like "regular" flowers, but they'll last forever and have so far held up perfectly! We're gifting a number of our pieces to our mothers and grandmothers as keepsakes from our amazing day, while saving the rest to display around our house! We're so happy to have such beautiful mementoes to remember it by!”
