I began my career a decade ago. As a tour photographer, I began accompanying musicians all over the world. Little did I know at that point the low lights, high energy, and late nights would translate well into my career as a wedding photographer. My start as a music photographer gave me the confidence to navigate even the most challenging and unpredictable situations, and I use the same philosophy now while photographing weddings: keep calm, stay observant, and follow the action.

“We are so thrilled that we managed to book Jess for our engagement photos and wedding! Beautiful photography was a priority for us, and we wanted our photos to have a genuine, documentary style feel. We wanted the photos to capture the real beauty of the day, without being too heavily edited (we hate the photographers who made everything look pastel!). Jessica was completely in line with our style. My husband and I aren’t naturals in front of the camera, but Jessica made us feel so at ease. We were never uncomfortable with Jessica, and she felt like a natural part of the day. Jessica’s photos speak for themselves. She is able to create stunning visuals, but most impressively, Jess captures emotion in all of her photographs. At our wedding, Jessica and her assistant Kat were always present, but never intrusive. I feel like she is a photography ninja—I don’t even remember seeing her at certain moments, and yet there are beautiful photos of everything. No detail or moment was missed. From the day we worked with Jess on our engagement photos, we knew we were in more than capable hands. Put her in any type of lighting or setting, and she has the technical skills and experience to create something amazing. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Jess’ professionalism—she is always early and is kind to everyone she interacts with. She is so passionate and excited about her work. Her calm, unflappable attitude made her a pleasure to be around on our wedding day. Her enthusiasm for her work is evident. She's also incredibly hardworking at every stage of the process. Jessica was able to edit our photos and got them back to us within 6 days of our wedding—that is unheard of! We love Jess and are so impressed by her! “We had a terrific experience working with Meaghan and Brendon of “Far Out Feeling.” If you’ve made it this far, you already love their style – their ability to capture both candid and staged photos artfully – and we are happy to report that the photographers have personalities to match. We loved meeting them for drinks months in advance of our wedding, which gave us a nice context for one another when the day finally came (we cannot imagine, now, not knowing our wedding photographers when they arrived to take pictures of us!) We worked with Brittany Glover, who was professional, accommodating, and understood that we wanted an outstanding food experience, both for us and for our guests. We also wanted a pescatarian/vegetarian menu, which we thought would be a bit of a challenge; but Brittany gave us so many options that it never even registered that we didn't have meat. The planning was so much fun, the tasting dinner was spectacular, and we didn't have to think about a thing at the wedding itself. The catering was breathtakingly beautiful, and SO DELICIOUS. Our guests absolutely swooned over the food, and are still talking about how wonderful it was. The presentation was superb, the service outstanding, the open bar with a signature cocktail (Aperol spritz) was fantastic, the burrata bar at the cocktail hour killed, the hot stuff was hot and the cold stuff was cold, and the integration of other one-off requests of ours (one relative wanted light beer, we used a favorite baker for the wedding cake, Eric likes good rye, etc.) was seamless. Honestly, we wouldn't have changed a thing. We would use Starr Catering again in a heartbeat. It's our second anniversary today, and we're so grateful to Starr Catering for helping us have the wedding we wanted. T”

“When I think back on my wedding day, there is not one thing I can think of that did not work out seamlessly. I owe much of this to Victoria. Starting a few days before my wedding, she was in contact with me about details that I did not even think of. She helped me organize decorations and did a mock staging with me to ensure I was satisfied with the design. On the day of my wedding, she ensured everything was placed as we discussed and even made sure that empty spaces were filled with greenery. She worked closely with all of my vendors to ensure that things ran smoothly and stayed on time. When things did not go as planned, she sorted things out so quickly that I didn’t even know about them until after the fact. For example, my sister-in-law had been losing pregnancy weight and hadn’t tried on her dress in some time since they traveled from out of state. When she put on her dress at my wedding, it was noticeably loose fitting. Victoria immediately took action. When she was done working her magic, my sister in laws dress looked perfect! I wasn’t even aware of the issue until after the fact and wouldn’t have even know if it wasn’t mentioned. Victoria was never more than an arm’s length away on my wedding day. She was always there to help, frequently asked if I needed anything, and handled almost everything without me even knowing. If there was something I did not know how to respond to, or if a difficult situation arose, she navigated it effortlessly and professionally. I highly recommend her to all brides. She takes pride in her work and treats your wedding day like it’s her own. I truly believe having her there allowed me to fully be present on my wedding day and allowed me to thoroughly enjoy every second of it without having to worry! She really is the best there is!”
