After nearly a decade of freelancing as a wedding cinematographer and photographer, I’m excited to have opened my own studio, dedicated to capturing love stories. While I originally came to the U.S. in 2015 for a Master’s in International Business, I discovered my true passion for documenting life’s most special moments. Weddings are about more than just beautiful shots—they’re about preserving raw, candid emotions. My goal is to capture moments you’ll cherish forever, so you can relive your wedding day for years to come.

Veil & Film were an absolute delight to work with for our wedding videography. From our very first interaction, their communication was open, clear and precise, putting us at ease throughout the entire process. The quality of their work was truly top-notch - the level of detail they captured was marvelous, ensuring that all the small, special moments of our day were preserved in a way that makes the footage so memorable. We're thrilled with the final product and would highly recommend Veil & Film to any couple looking for a videographer who will do an incredible job documenting their wedding day.

If you have visited the Foundry, you know how amazing and beautiful it is, but what you don’t know before you work with them is how responsive and helpful they are once you have committed to them. We had about 130 guests and used the main room for the ceremony, the greenhouse room and space outside for the cocktail hour, the courtyard for the reception dinner, the main room again for the dancing, and the greenhouse room again for the after party (11 to midnight). We also rented the Du Val suite for getting ready, and it was a superb space for the groom’s party and extended family to get ready and hang out and also has the most beautiful garden with city views. Our wedding was absolutely amazing and vindicated our immediate love for the Foundry that we developed the first time we toured it, and the Foundry staff are extremely helpful and kind.

Our experience with the Douglaston Manor was an actual dream come true! From the moment we walked in to see the Manor, Kathy, our wedding coordinator, was wonderful. Relaxed, sweet, and so caring about us and what we wanted, she never made us feel pressured or nervous and gently made suggestions which ended up making our night even better than we could have hoped. Working with Carlos our Maitre D and Michelle my Bridal Attendant was a blessing. Michelle was so attentive and helpful. Within minutes of meeting her, I felt like I was spending time with a good friend. She was so funny, kept me calm and literally did anything and everything I needed- most of the time without me having to ask her. The same could be said for Carlos. Just to give a small example, my fake eyelash starting come off a tiny bit. Without any eyelash glue on us, I was nervous about how we would fix the issue but The Manor proved how above and beyond they'd go when Carlos, unpromoted and unknown to me at the time, went out and brought me eyelash glue! It was a small gesture but it went a long way and showed me how devoted the Manor is to their clients. Michelle made sure he knew exactly what to get and she helped me fix it when he came back (which was unbelievably quick as well) . Carlos was fantastic at keeping my group organized and making sure the ceremony was perfect. We are so grateful to both of them. Aside from their exceptional service, the staff at the manor was outstanding- every room was impeccably decorated and arranged exactly as we had hope, all of the items we had brought with us for various aspects of the night were set up perfectly without instruction and the attention to detail was second to none. The food. I am biased seeing as it was my own wedding, but the food was incredible from start to finish. The cocktail hour sampling that Michelle left from my husband and I including EVERYTHING being served downstairs and was presented beautifully- time was clearly taken to make sure we were able to try the food but also have it presented to us in a really special way. Kathy had suggested we try an "off-menu" item, braised beef in a red wine sauce, and no surprise, it was easily the best tasting wedding dinner item I've had at any wedding. There are so many things that go into making a wedding day perfect and that means there are so many things that are easy to stress over. Not once during the planning process or on the big day did I ever feel worried or concerned. Everybody communicated clearly, checked and double checked things and did everything possible to ensure everything was perfect- not just great, but genuinely perfect. Oh, and the cost was VERY reasonable. Kathy worked with us every step of the way to accommodate our budget while making sure the elements we wanted were included. We are looking forward to going back to the manor for future celebrations and feel so thankful to have been treated so well. They made our day everything we ever could have hoped for!

IT FEELS LIKE I HAVE ALWAYS HAD A CAMERA IN MY HAND. I GREW UP TAKING PHOTOS ON MY DAD'S OLD CAMERAS AN HAVING AN IMPROVISED STUDIO FOR DEVELOPING OLD FILMS WAS GREAT. Brittany was such a pleasure to work with. Not only was she an incredible make up artist for my bridal party, she also made the getting ready experience fun and easy going. She was able to doll up 5 different women, all with different skin and preferences. Each person in my bridal party left looking so beautiful and polished, I couldn’t have asked for better glam from Brittany! Her skin prep was on point, she used top of the line products for both skin prep and makeup. And I cannot fail to mention that she is truly an amazing person. She connected with all of us, checking in with us along the way making sure we were comfortable with her services. My mother and MiL felt so at ease with her, and it was so emotional to see how beautiful they looked. We all looked fabulous, I can’t wait to get glammed up by her again in the future.

Shanta agreed to our witness as well as our photographer. Everything was dealt with by email and Shanta responded quickly and her emails were always warm and friendly. On the day Shanta was amazing. The weather was not the best, but her lovely personality put us both at ease and we spent a great day with her. It was an absolute pleasure to have her as part of our day. The photo are amazing, exactly what we wanted and were sent to us on an online gallery as promised. I would not hesitate in recommending Shanta. Nidji Photography

To date, there are only two images of me as a child. The first is my passport photo at the age of 1.5 months, the second is an image of me at the age of 8. Because of this, I have a deeper understanding, value and passion for photographs and imagery. With that said, I purchased my first camera at the age of 16 with my first paycheck! (used to flip burgers at a local Roy Rogers!). With that camera, I quickly learned how much I loved the art of documenting life with imagery and in 2012, I left a 16 year career in healthcare to follow my dream of becoming a photographer. I haven't looked back one day since then.

•down to earth •always cheerful •in love with her job •hits her deadlines •knows the ins&outs of the business •Never fails the meet product expectations The only thing you might love more than Nidji's work Is Nidji. She's a pleasure for both her clients and co-vendors. Wedding planning is stressful on every level, even after you've got your ducks in order. With Nidji, you can leave at least that bit of it on the floor.

Tres Belle Fete Events

5.0

  • Planner
  • Offers 3 services
  • Starts at $2,500
  • Serves Astoria, NY

Wedding Ninja with a special place in my heart for non-traditional and multicultural celebrations. Movies turned me into the ultimate romantic dreamer, leading me — an economics phd to quit academia and pursue my love for food, hospitality and events. Since then, I’ve made every kind of wedding magic happen for every kind of scenario you can imagine: from cinematic Bollywood-style extravaganzas at venues like The Bowery Hotel and St. Regis in Aspen, to more intimate celebrations at homes.

Seema did a truly outstanding job with our multicultural, double-ceremony wedding last month. Hiring her was one of the best decisions we made in the planning process and her support on the day-of and in the months leading up to the wedding was invaluable. She is incredibly kind, diligent and hard-working, and brings exactly the kind of calm, cheerful energy you want around on your wedding day. We had a fairly complicated wedding, with two ceremonies in one day at separate venues — an Indian/Hindu version in the morning followed by lunch, and a western version followed by a reception in the evening. There were a lot of moving parts and a pretty tight schedule, and I think Seema was really essential to how smoothly everything went, and how seamless the day felt for us and our guests. She was also hugely helpful with vendor communications before the wedding. After putting in so much time, effort and mental energy into wedding planning for the better part of a year, one big fear I had going into the day was that I would feel stressed and not actually enjoy myself that much. Looking back, it was such a fun day and I felt incredibly relaxed, and that was in huge part because I knew Seema was there, that she was on top of everything and that I trusted her to handle any hiccups. That is honestly the biggest gift you can give yourself on your wedding day — the ability to be in the moment and hand off all the details, timelines and logistics. I interviewed a few other coordinators before hiring Seema, and honestly felt like they all brought a sort of formulaic approach to the weddings they worked on. I never got that impression from Seema, and felt like she really personalized her work to us as a couple and made an effort to get to know us and understand what we wanted from the day. She is extremely responsive, was always prompt with things that needed to get done ahead of the wedding, and she and her two assistants were so helpful to have around on the day. Particularly with our morning/Hindu wedding venue (a major hotel chain whose events staff was very disorganized and difficult to get a hold of), I’m fairly confident that event would have been chaos if Seema and her team had not been there to wrangle people and guide them between locations. Lastly, she is just a fun person to talk to and I always felt better about wedding planning after a check-in with her! Would strongly recommend her to other couples!!

I can not rave about Lhundup enough! He made the whole process so seamless. My fiancé and I were so nervous. We had no idea what to do, how to pose, over all just a very new experience for us. He told us what to expect ahead of time, send us photos of the location and was able to answer any questions we had before hand. We hired him for the pre wedding photo shoot and loved him so much that we hired him for the wedding as well. I will forever cherish the photos he was able to capture. We’ve never looked better! We will definitely be using his services for future events. If you are looking for a photographer and stumbled upon this review. Don’t hesitate! Just message him and give him a call. Thanks for visiting my profile! To tell you a bit about myself, I've always wanted to be a filmmaker since I could remember... My grandpa was always filming every family interaction and had a 500 title dvd collection, so that left a big impression on me. I was the kid who grouped up my friends and coordinated lightsaber battles in the front yard; later editing in FX frame by frame. While in film school I used to film in dance clubs, making music videos of clubbers having a good time. This helped develop my style and created the foundation of what I do today! Apart from filmmaking, I enjoy a good jam sesh, playing chess, and surfing :)

Awarded Best of Zola
I couldn't be happier with the video produced for us by Shuttersound Pictures. They took the time to get to know us, and understood perfectly what I DIDN'T want in the video (long lingering shots of the couple looking at each other, overwrought montages and voiceovers, etc -- fine for some but not my style!) and instead captured the true essence of the day: a couple in love, being celebrated by friends and family, and a hell of a party. Friends have all said it's the best wedding video they've ever seen, and I couldn't agree more! I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I am a New York City-based videographer and editor. As a wedding filmmaker, my priority is showcasing the feeling of the day. I use my love of documentary and fantasy to guide my eye throughout a wedding so when you sit down, you’re not just watching a glossy, dramatic video of your day, but a time capsule that brings you back to how it felt to be there.

Jess was absolutely incredible! She captured what we couldn’t experience at our wedding, interviewing our friends and family to hear about their perspective of the day. We watch the video every year on our anniversary and it makes me glow with happiness every time. She gives the perfect mix of capturing the big moments, and also those little moments our guests experienced that we may missed if not for her beautiful videography. Cannot recommend her enough!!

Happy Music DJ

We are a family-owned and operated entertainment company located right in the heart of New York City. Happy Music DJ features bilingual, Chinese, Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, speaking DJs and MCs, specializing in weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, private events, and more.

We are so glad we worked with HMDJ for our wedding! We enjoyed how DJ Jason mixed the music we chose, and helped fill gaps with some of his choices as well. Our guests were dancing until the end of the event, we had so much fun! MC James was absolutely amazing. Before our wedding we met with him and he gave great advice on the schedule, making sure we did our Reception activities in a way that would keep our guests entertained, and suggesting some games that could involve everyone. During the wedding he did a great job hyping up our guests for our entrance, first dance, speeches, shoe game, and bouquet toss. He is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, which made communicating with our families really smooth! We also booked the photobooth through HMDJ. We loved the props they had, and we laughed so much looking through all the photos our guests did!

I had an amazing experience with Alyssa being my hair stylist on the day of my wedding! Her expertise was evident as soon as we started. She was very enthusiastic in making sure to cut my hair exactly to my specifications. The value speaks for itself, as soon as I stepped off the chair, I left extremely confident to start the biggest day of my life. I couldn’t recommend Alyssa more on your special day and while you're at it have her fix up your groomsmen as well

Once Upon a Blossom creates luxury artificial flower walls and arches designed for weddings, events, and unforgettable moments. Each piece is handcrafted with premium silk blooms, built for effortless setup, and made to last. Based in New York and shipped across the U.S., Canada, and U.K.

I run a photobooth business in New York and I’ve gone through a lot of backdrops over the years. Some are fine, most just didn’t look that vivid or high quality. This flower wall totally exceeded my expectations. I got the white one and used it at a wedding recently. my guests loved it! People kept lining up to take pics in front of it, and honestly, it looked great in every single shot. Super full, no weird plasticky shine like a lot of the cheaper ones out there. Setup was quick too, which I really appreciated. You can tell the quality’s there. Definitely planning to use it again and order a new color for future events.
