Schedule/What to Wear

The Wedding Website of Tony Magart and Tyler Pitts
These rocks from the beach we're getting married on are our color inspiration! 💚 🧡 💙 If you have something you love to wear in one of these colors, (that is warm enough and comfortable enough to be on a beach in ALASKA in late fall), wear it! And COMFY/water resistant shoes and layers are a great idea too. Bride and groom will both be wearing Xtratuff rain boots.

Beach Bonfire

11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Refuge Cove State Recreation Site
84 Sunset Dr, Ketchikan, AK 99901

Bring Rain Gear!

Beach bonfire before (and after) the ceremony, weather-dependent. Tony and friends will be hanging out and setting up the space, come have a hot cocoa by the fire. Bring some snacks, beach chairs, and any nicer clothes to change into at the North Tongass Community Club (NTCC). This will be at the South end of the Refuge Cove beach where the picnic benches and covered area are. Located across from the NTCC where the Bride will be getting ready. Temperature will probably be in the 40’s and it will most likely be raining. Waterproof shoes and layers are a good idea. The shuttle will come an hour early if you'd like to attend this before the ceremony.

Ceremony

1:30 pm - 1:45 pm

Refuge Cove State Recreation Site
619-793 Sunset Drive, Ketchikan, AK 99901

This is a rocky beach and it will likely be raining. There is also a .25 mile walk on uneven ground from parking/restrooms to the ceremony site. Wear comfortable shoes and layers. If you want color suggestions, see the wedding colors at the top of this page. ❤️ Temperature will probably be in the 40’s and it will most likely be raining. Waterproof shoes and layers are a good idea.

If you're not taking one of the free shuttles from Cape Fox Lobby at 11:30 or 12:30: Drive North on Tongass highway, (tip: the ocean will be on your left driving North), and take a left on Sunset Drive. This will be approximately 6 miles from downtown Ketchikan. Parking spaces will be to the right just down the hill, as well along the road on the left. There is potentially a walk through the woods to the site of the ceremony, approximately .25 miles from the north Tongass Community Club building (first building on the right). This can be driven if needed although parking is limited closer to site. Again, free shuttles will be available from Cape Fox Hotel at 11:30 am and 12:30 pm. NOTE: In case of inclement weather, (read: sideways rain), wedding ceremony will be held at the North Tongass Community Club in the same location.
