Our favorite southern brunch. Hands down the best biscuits in Charleston and known for their Bloody Marys. The restaurant is in a charming house and very cozy. We love strolling around King Street after to walk off the biscuits. Breakfast is served daily and it's always delicious.
We love going to Folly Beach - it has a laid-back vibe and down-to-earth people. The fishing pier is beautiful and has a restaurant on top. Our pick is the Miami Vice (pina colada/strawberry daiquiri). Folly has all local restaurants and a great coffee shop called Black Magic.
We love strolling around and browsing the City Market. There are many local vendors and it is fun to see what people are crafting and creating. This makes for a fun stop while exploring downtown! There is a great dessert cafe called Kaminsky's if you work up a sweet tooth.
Close to the Avondale area of West Ashley, Kairos Greek Kitchen is our "go to" spot for a healthy lunch or dinner option. Our pick is the grain bowl with meatballs or falafel and the red pepper feta spread loaded with lots of veggies. Casual restaurant and delicious.
Sullivans Island is where the locals go. We love the low key vibe here - when you get to the island all of the restaurants and shops are to your right. Our favorite spot is Sullivans Restaurant. If you drive towards the right you will get a beautiful view of Fort Moultrie. Parking is free on the island and sunset views are a necessity.
Shem Creek is a fun and outgoing spot any time of day. Shelby loves running around here and there are many great restaurants to enjoy. Our picks are Saltwater Cowboys, Reds Icehouse, or Watersedge (buffet brunch on Sundays). After you can take a stroll along the dock and enjoy the view! You can also rent kayaks or paddleboards here too.
