Our story begins at Glynn Academy High School in Brunswick, Ga, in 2007. We met through mutual friends and began dating that December, our sophomore year. We bonded over our love of the outdoors, the beach, mountains, traveling, golf cart rides, watching each other play sports (Jay soccer and Shelby running) and Georgia football. College was filled with lots of texts, phone calls, and weekend visits, making the most of our long-distance relationship. Jay went to Georgia Southern University and Shelby went to The University of Georgia. Though a hard thing to do, we believe the test of distance and the ups and downs that came from it made us a stronger couple. These years are filled with lots of amazing memories and we would not trade them for anything. 11 years worth of memories later, we've traveled to Germany, taken Saturday boat trips, trips to Atlanta and Athens, taken a run-cation to Chicago (where Jay proposed), explored the mountains, hiked with our dog, Riley, and have many beach memories. We have begun our careers in Charleson, SC and are very excited to begin this next chapter as husband and wife. Our future plans involve traveling more, camping, and savoring the weekends. We can't wait to celebrate with you and are excited for you to join us as we begin this next chapter!
