When should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP by March 3rd. Please RSVP by using the RSVP card we mail you or by using the link on the RSVP tab in the website navigation.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive no later than 4:50 pm. The ceremony will begin at 5:00 pm. If driving, please allow yourself ample time to park. There is more information on parking and logistics/recommendations on our "Schedule" page.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

If staying at the Hilton Garden Inn, there is a shuttle that can take you to historical downtown. Other hotels may have a shuttle as well - please check with the hotel you stay with to confirm. We recommend using Uber or Lyft if you are staying in an Airbnb or VRBO rental as the parking garage is $2 per hour (up to $20). If you choose to drive, the parking garage closest to our ceremony is located at 85 Queen Street.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking can be tricky downtown, which is why we recommend using Uber, Lyft, or the hotel shuttle. There is a parking garage on Queen Street (about .2 from our ceremony at 85 Queen Street), however, keep in mind it is $2 per hour (up to $20). There is street parking as well, but this can sometimes be more of a hassle unless you get lucky! We will have a trolley accommodate guests from the ceremony to the reception (about 5 blocks away from each other). Our reception is located at 233 Meeting Street (The Room on Meeting).

Where should we enter your ceremony?

Answer

The physical Google address if you look up the Confederate Home and College is 62 Broad St, Charleston, SC 29401. However, the home lays between Broad Street and Chalmers Street. We would love for guests to enter through "25 Chalmers Street", a charming cobblestone street that will enter the Courtyard, where the ceremony will be. We will have a sign in front of the entrance to direct guests.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes, there is more information on our "Travel" page. We have reserved rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn at a discounted rate for guests. Our other picks are renting through Airbnb or VRBO if you are making the trip more of a vacation and staying longer than the weekend.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

We are planning on being at The The Hilton Garden Inn (45 Lockwood Drive) Rooftop bar Friday, March 22nd around 8:00 pm. We would love to welcome you if you are coming from out of town. There is a cash bar at the rooftop.
