Starting August 2 2021, fully vaccinated travelers traveling from the US no longer need to quarantine upon arrival in Scotland or England. While you will no longer be required to quarantine, you will still be required to take a covid test prior to your departure from the US and a PCR test on the second day after you arrive in the UK. The Scottish government website gives details as to what type of test you need to take in the US before you travel to the UK: https://www.gov.scot/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-international-travel-quarantine/pages/testing-for-people-travelling-to-scotland/ You will need to get the test within the 3 days prior to your departure from the US. You are also still required to get a PCR test on day 2 after your arrival in Scotland. The day you arrive counts as day zero, so if you arrive on a Monday, Tuesday will be day one. You will need to book your day 2 PCR test before you travel over there. See the Scottish government website for details on booking it.
Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (at least 2-weeks prior to the event) is REQUIRED for all guests to attend our wedding and all related events. Please have your vaccination record with you. In addition, we also kindly ask that all guests take a covid test and receive a negative result within three days of the wedding. We can provide lateral flow tests on arrival in St Andrew's if you cannot get access elsewhere (these are not, however, accepted for travel or government approval purposes). In accordance with Scottish government guidelines, masks are also required at all wedding events. While guests may remove their masks to eat and drink, they will be required to wear them at other times while indoors.
Yes, shuttles will be provided to take guests from the Old Course Hotel to the Chapel on the day of the wedding. Specific departure times will be posted on this site at a later time. The shuttle will then take guests from the Chapel to Kinkell Byre for the wedding reception. The shuttle will also take guests back to St. Andrews at the end of the evening, making 3 stops (TBD) in St. Andrews, including the Old Course Hotel. More details will be posted soon.
