We met at the beginning of our freshman year at Texas A&M University as new "fish" in the Corps of Cadets. We had some classes together throughout the year and grew into friends. By the end of the year, we would meet together for lunch accompanied by our roommates every week. They were almost dates but we didn't know it yet. Sophomore year rolled around and we finally went on our first date. We had a coupon for a free hour of pool at a sports bar, but they were too busy. Our date plans changed and we ended up at the movie theater. The movie was terrible but we laughed the whole way through it. Even though our plans fell through and the movie wasn't good, we still had a great time with each other's company and knew there was something special.

Three weeks after our junior year ended, we had the opportunity to go back to College Station for Kyle's initiation into the Catholic Church. After a nail appointment that Sara didn't find at all suspicious, we went to walk around the gardens on campus before our flight home. During the school year it's our favorite place to go to relax or study. Sara was looking at the butterfly garden and when she turned around, Kyle was on one knee. Later that evening, some of our closest friends from college came into town to celebrate our engagement with us. We are so excited to share this celebration with you. See you in College Station!
