Maid of Honor
Ashley and Moriah lived in the same dorm freshman year and really became close during their sophomore year at TCU, where they studied the same major in the same business program and were also in the same sorority. They were roommates during their junior and senior years at TCU and have since made many trips to visit each other and maintained a close long distance friendship since college.
Best Man
Taylor and his younger brother, Justin, had your stereotypical sibling rivalry for the first 18 years of their lives. This was understandable as Justin could never beat Taylor in any video games or sports. Although Justin passed Taylor in height sometime in high school (shocking, we know), Taylor retained his dominance of the rivalry to this day.
Man of Honor
Michael and Moriah met in London during a freshman orientation trip the summer before college. They also lived in the same freshman dorm and were involved in a number of activities together at TCU (including being a killer campus tour duo). They studied abroad together in Florence, Italy during their junior year and both moved to Colorado after graduation, where they were roommates in Denver.
Groomsman
Blake and Taylor, like real brothers, definitely have a love/hate friendship. After joining the fraternity in the same pledge class, Taylor spent four years helping Blake get through college and preventing him from getting into too much trouble. Always the life of the party, Blake taught Taylor how to be a bit more worry-free.
Bridesmaid
Louisa and Moriah became close when they taught in the same school (and many of the same students) in Colorado Springs through Teach For America. They instantly bonded over their love for flannel, wine, and dogs, as well as their crazy teaching stories, and both moved to Denver after TFA. Moriah and Taylor actually discovered their wedding venue on a group camping trip up to Vail that Louisa had planned for Moriah's 26th birthday (check out our Photos page for a picture at Piney from the trip)!
Groomsman
Brad Lee was Taylor’s first roommate in the fraternity house. They also lived together in Denver for two years post-college. While roommates, Brad really enjoyed going to Colorado sports games where he and Taylor could watch the Cubs, Bears, or Blackhawks get destroyed. Brad remains jealous that Taylor lives in a real city.
Bridesmaid
Rachel and Moriah lived in the same dorm their freshman year at TCU and were involved in many of the same activities, including their sorority and student government. Rachel is Moriah's longest roommate - they lived together while studying abroad in Italy, during their junior and senior years at TCU, and also in Denver for a year. Fun fact: Rachel married another TCU grad that went to high school down the street from Moriah in OKC!
Groomsman
Gilligan was a pain during college, routinely keeping the whole house awake all night by blasting club music. It’s still unclear how he was selected to be Taylor’s pledge class educator. Post-college, Brad and Taylor started to become good friends after fighting each other wearing Ice Skater and Jockey costumes (respectively) on a Hermosa Beach pier on Halloween.
Bridesmaid
Lauren and Moriah met at a school hiring event through Teach For America and were both hired to teach the same subject and same grade level, in classrooms next door to each other at a school in Colorado Springs, where they were also roommates during this time (their classrooms were about the same distance apart as their bedrooms). They were also later neighbors in the same apartment complex in Denver, where Lauren got a puppy who would always come look for "Aunt Moriah" on their shared patio when he got home.
Groomsman
Ross, like Blake, was in Taylor’s pledge class. Ross served as Vice President of the Fraternity while Taylor was President, and they became close while trying to keep the house from blowing up. After taking a trip to NYC together their senior year, they developed a shared passion for finance.
Bridesmaid
Moriah and Reagan attended the same school in Oklahoma City from 3rd grade through high school graduation and became best friends in high school. They befriended their local Qdoba manager who knew their orders from going to lunch there every single day, and they were once excused from class by their leadership teacher so that they could sticky note a classmate's car in the school parking lot.
Groomsman
"PBR" and Taylor also met in college where they became friends while being extra (too?) competitive in intramural sports. While Taylor still can’t stand that Ryan is an annoying Patriots fan, he eventually accepted it. Post-college, Taylor, Ryan, Moriah, and others have been known to frequent Howl at the Moon where they spend too much money forcing the band to play every Blink-182 and other 90’s singalong songs.
Bridesmaid
Rachel was originally Taylor's friend from college, but Moriah quickly stole her after discovering their shared love for bacon. Rachel has been an integral part of Moriah and Taylor's relationship, so much so that they've become known as the "Triple." Rachel, Taylor, and Moriah go on many dates together (where Taylor is generally the third wheel), and Rachel gets dibs on the middle seat at the movies (or T-Swift concerts).
Groomsman
Maximilian, or Moose as his friends call him, is the hipster, chef, and "ski dad" of the group. He and Taylor share an interest in economics, finance, and business in general. A comedian in his own right, make sure to ask him to tell you the clown joke (guaranteed to be the best spent 20 minutes of your life).
Bridesmaid
Kathryn and Moriah met in London during a freshman orientation trip the summer before college, and she was Moriah's first friend at TCU. They bonded over their love of college football and a friendly rivalry between the Memphis Grizz and OKC Thunder. They also lived in the same freshman dorm (where Moriah gained her freshman 15 from all the homemade treats Kathryn's mom would send) and were roommates when they studied abroad in Italy together.
Groomsman
Taylor and van Bark (and Blake) lived together for two years in college. Andrew designated himself as the puppy trainer for Taylor’s dog, Bourbon. His skills were so masterful that he convinced Bourbon that his name was Carlos and taught him how to dig holes in the backyard. After Taylor moved to NYC, Andrew helped Taylor get accustomed to life in the Big Apple.
Bridesmaid
Abby and Moriah met at a school hiring event through Teach For America and were both hired to teach math in the same school in Colorado Springs. They were also roommates during their time in TFA and share a love for queso, college football, and all things Texas. They've taken many snowboarding trips up to the mountains together over the past 6 years of friendship and both hesitantly learned to drive in the Colorado snow.
Groomsman
Andy is… Andy. If you need commercial flooring, he’s your guy. In all seriousness, everyone loves him. Throughout Taylor’s time in Denver, Andy was always down for a last minute camping or ski trip, or just a quick jaunt to the local bar. He also may be the only person who loves D’Corazon as much as Taylor does.
