Question

Who should I reach out to with any questions?

Answer

We've set up an email address for the wedding to make things easy! Email Moriah and Ruth Sallis at sallisplattwedding@gmail.com with any questions that come up as you're making plans - we're happy to help! You may also call Ruth at 405 226 4993 during our wedding weekend.

Question

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Cocktail attire is appropriate. You'll be walking through some gravel and on wood plank floors, so we recommend leaving your stilettos at home! Be sure to bring a jacket or coat as the venue's elevation is 9,350 feet, and it can get quite chilly at night.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes - vans will pick up guests in Lionshead Village between 2:00 and 2:30 pm, and will return guests back to town. We recommend taking advantage of these, as the road up to Piney is a bit bumpy, and it is easy to get lost. There is no cell phone service at Piney and only patches of service on the road up.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Vans will depart Lionshead Village between 2 pm and 2:30 pm to bring guests up to Piney. If you're driving up, we recommend leaving at the same time, though we highly recommend the provided transportation, as the road is a bit bumpy, dark at night, and it's easy to get lost - especially with patchy cell phone service at best. If you do plan to drive, the trip up will take around 45 minutes. The road to Piney is fairly well marked, but when in doubt, stay straight. Google Maps directions are not accurate. Excellent driving directions can be found at https://www.pineyriverranch.com/directions/ BUT DOWNLOAD THEM BEFORE YOU HEAD UP.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

We've arranged tee times at the Vail Golf Club Friday morning beginning at 10:40am. We'd also love for you to join us at a post dinner welcome reception on Friday evening! This will begin at 7:30pm at Landmark Condominium #507 in Lionshead Village, Vail. On Saturday following the wedding reception, an after-party celebration is planned back in Lionshead Village. Finally, we will host a come-and-go farewell brunch beginning at 10am Sunday at Landmark Condominium #507.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely - please let us know! There is space for any specific dietary needs on our RSVP forms. There is a section for this on the paper RSVP attached to the invitation, or you can provide this when RSVPing online.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kids, but we want our wedding to be your night off! We've provided recommendations below for babysitters in the area to make that a reality: Vail Sitters www.vailsitters.com 970-390-9990 booking@vailsitters.com Resort Sitters www.resortsitters.com 970-748-3012 babysitting@resortsitters.com Mountain Sitters www.mountainsitters.com 970-331-1763 babysitting@mountainsitters.com
