Note that The Malcolm Hotel is a small boutique hotel, and we recommend booking early if you'd like to stay there as they do tend to sell out during summer weekends. We recommend staying at The Malcolm Hotel so it is just a short elevator ride back to your room at the end of the night. Other lodging options along Spring Creek Drive and in downtown Canmore will also keep you within about a ten minute walk of the reception venue (there are a few hotels and several condos available on vacation rental sites like Airbnb). Shuttle from The Malcolm Hotel to Ceremony

A shuttle is provided to bring guests from The Malcolm Hotel to the ceremony and back. There will be only one shuttle departure at 2:30 pm. Please arrive in the lobby by 2:25 pm. Limited parking for a fee is available at Quarry Lake about ten minutes from The Malcolm Hotel.

Helpful Tips for Travel in the Area Without a Car

The Banff area is accessible by rental car, public buses, private tours, and shuttle services. A rental car is not necessary to enjoy the area, and all our wedding events can be accessed using the local public Roam buses. The Roam buses run regularly and are easy to use both around Banff, Canmore, and between. For other activities, tours can be reserved departing from Banff and Canmore to other popular sites in the region. A shuttle from Calgary Airport (YYC) to Banff or Canmore is available —see the discount details below. If you are opting to travel without a car and would like our help connecting with another guest to carpool to events on Friday or Sunday, we'd be happy to help!

Roam Transit buses provides regular and reliable public transit options within Banff and Canmore as well as between the two towns as well to Lake Louise. Parking within the downtown areas of Banff, Canmore, and Lake Louise is limited. Use the link below to explore routes and cost.

Calgary International Airport (YYC)

Calgary International Airport (YYC) is the closest airport to Banff and Canmore, and has many flight options from major airlines. From YYC, the trip to Canmore is about 1 hour and 15 minutes and and additional 15-20 minutes to Banff. Please see options below for options to travel from YYC to the Banff region.
