How to Get to Trencin

Trenčín does not have its own international airport, but there are excellent nearby options: Vienna International Airport (VIE) – a major international hub (about 2–2.5 hours from Trenčín). Guests can travel onward by train, bus, or scheduled taxi service. Prague Airport (PRG) – another great international option. Prague is well connected to Trenčín by train, with convenient rail service (including direct or easy one-connection routes), making it a comfortable and scenic journey of approximately 4–4.5 hours. Bratislava Airport (BTS) – This airport does not support international flights, however it is the closest airport (about 1 hour–1 hour 15 minutes by car or train). From Bratislava, guests can take a direct train, bus, or taxi to Trenčín. Suitable option if you are visiting another country before the wedding. Website www.cp.sk is an excellent tool to use when searching for train or bus routes and schedules. Train and bus stations in Trenčín are located next to each other. The city centre can be reached in approximately 10 minutes by foot. Taxi stands are located directly next to the train and bus station.

Hotel Pod Hradom - Reservation Block
We have 12 rooms reserved from June 4–8 at Hotel Pod Hradom, which is directly connected to our reception venue, Restaurant Fatima. If you would like to stay in one of these reserved rooms, please reach out to us (the bride or groom) directly to confirm your dates. Guests will be responsible for the cost of their room. You do not need to make a booking on your own — simply arrive at the hotel on your confirmed date, and your room will be ready for you. Payment will be handled by the guest at check-out.

Rates vary depending on whether pickup is from Vienna or Bratislava Airport, and we will be happy to share the details in advance. By Train to Trencin
Trenčín lies alongside the main railway route Bratislava – Žilina – Košice that connects the town with the capital as well as other large cities in Slovakia. Express trains leave approximately every 2 hours in both directions. Regional and passenger trains further connect the city with surrounding municipalities. National carrier is Železničná spoločnosť Slovensko. Train schedules can be found at www.slovakrail.sk.

Trenčín is connected with major Slovak and foreign cities by national and international lines provided by: Slovak Lines, Eurolines, Flixbus, Regiojet and many others.

Public Transport in Trencin
Tickets for public transport can be purchased in cash directly from bus drivers. A single ticket costs €2, is valid for 60 minutes from the time of validation, and allows unlimited transfers within that time. If you plan to stay in Trenčín for a longer period and use public transportation frequently, the best option is to download the BUS Trenčín app (App Store) and purchase tickets online.
