We like to look for silver linings (Kyle says Sara never uses that term right, but thats neither here nor there). So while COVID was not a notoriously cheerful time, it forced Sara to flee LA with her cats in tow and temporarily settle in the comfort of her moms' South Eugene home. Kyle, just a mere 8 years her junior, was finishing up school at University of Oregon and working as a trainer at F45 - a fitness studio for those of you who haven't heard this story a million times. As coincidence would have it (because neither of them have roots in England), Kyle befriended Sara's sister, Maggie, after they discovered their shared obsession of Liverpool Football Club. Maggie started bringing Sara to workout with her at F45 and because she talks to everyone, Sara struck up conversations with Kyle which he very much mistakenly interpreted as flirting (we may not agree on the "mistakenly" part). After some miscommunication about plans - Kyle thought he was asking her on a date, Sara thought it would be a group outing - we ended up having dinner at McMenamin's North Bank, and kind of haven't stopped hanging out since.
