FAQs

The Wedding Website of Kevin Roland Fish and Paul Vincent Gancitano
We'll continue to update the FAQ page as we solidify more information.
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Invitations will be sent out near the end of August with instructions on how to RSVP via our website (FYI that you will not need to send anything back to us via mail). We are kindly asking for everyone to RSVP by October 15.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive between 4:30 and 4:45 so that we have enough time to get everyone seated prior to the ceremony. Welcome wines will be served starting at 4:30pm, and these may be kept with you throughout the ceremony. The ceremony will start promptly at 5:00, so please do not be late!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We want everyone to look great so we ask that you wear semi-formal attire, please. We also want you to feel comfortable, so when the dancing starts, feel free to loosen ties and lose heels.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not then we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kids, but we want our wedding to be your night off! We won’t be having kids at the ceremony or reception, however if you are bringing children to DC, check out our Things To Do page for some suggestions!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

[TBD]

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

The host hotels are both within easy walking distance (1-3 blocks) to the ceremony and reception venue, so there will not be a shuttle service. There is a handicap drop-off area at the winery entrance if needed.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception at the same location?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony will be on the 3rd floor of the winery overlooking the river. After the ceremony, guests will move down to the mezzanine level for a cocktail hour while District Winery staff flips the upstairs rooms for the reception. Elevators are available and there are restrooms located on each floor.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

All formal events are included on the schedule and RSVP pages.

Question

Will there be food at the Welcome Reception?

Answer

We can't wait to show off our rooftop and its views of the DC skyline! We'll be providing some light snacks alongside beverages (beer, wine, signature cocktail, and non-alcoholic beverages).

Question

Will there be non-alcoholic options available?

Answer

Of course! The full bar at the ceremony & reception will be stocked with anything you'll need / want.

Question

What’s on the menu for the Reception?

Answer

We don’t quite know yet - our tasting is at the end of August and we will update this once we have selected our food options. But fear not - our food will be served family style so there is no selection for you to make prior to arriving.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

You'll have the option to alert us of any dietary restrictions on our RSVP page.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are so excited to share this special day with you and only ask of your love and presence. If you are so inclined to show extra love via a gift, feel free to check out our registry page.

Question

How do I get to / from the Welcome Reception?

Answer

The Welcome Reception is located 880 P St. NW (part of our apartment building's broader complex). We recommend arriving via car share (Uber / Lyft) or via Metro (Mt. Vernon / Convention Center or Shaw / Howard University on the Green / Yellow line). Once you arrive, the concierge will direct you to the reception.
