Best Man
Mark and Chris have been friends since they were twelve years old, first playing on the same soccer team and later attending Lexington Catholic High School together. After two of the four years finished with LCHS as state runner up, Mark and Chris parted ways for College. They reconnected 8 years ago when Mark moved back to Lexington, after living in Cincinnati since graduation. They share a strong friendship with Rajan Shukla and Rebecca Barnard, both of whom are in the wedding party.
Maid of Honor
Meet Becca - the semi-introverted yin to Amy's overly-extroverted yang, she's Amy's closest friend & partner in crime in Lexington. She's a varsity volleyball player down to try anything, especially if there is a free trial or discount code involved. It's unbelievable to think they've only known each other since 2019 - mistaken for sisters, and each other, it's no doubt they formed a strong friendship. All it took was one awkward smush face photo, and the rest is history. She is always up for anything - yoga, trying a new sport, food, leaving at 3AM to drive to Florida, walks at the Arboretum, you name it, she's in. Always prepared for anything, she'll be there for you with an enthusiastic attitude, a sympathetic ear, and an extra pair of pants with her, just in case you forgot yours.
Groomsman
Rajan Shukla is another one of Chris' oldest friends and close runner up to best man. They met freshman year at Lexington Catholic H. S. and later attended the University of Kentucky. Raj is a brilliant and intellectual person, who Chris instantly came to admire and cherish. They first met in chess club during high school and became the closest of friends, going to concerts, parties and sleepovers together. In their college years they would grow closer, spending many wonderful years bar hoping, attending festivals and chasing women. Raj was the first to wed (in 2009), and thus was lost to his beautiful wife- Dezirae Shukla. Raj has been absent the past few years while being a loving husband and a new father. Raj and Desire share a lovely daughter, Evelyn Shukla, who will turn 5 this year.
Bridesmaid
Meet Mandy - she's one of Amy's first friends in Lexington, and the best damn thing to come out of Tinder. She's the fiery redhead, likely holding a camera in one hand, and a beer in the other. They randomly met at Blue Stallion and then bumped into each other at a charity dog walk a couple days later - they both knew that universe meant for them to be friends. Having only known each other for 6 years, the adventures they’ve had together would fill up a lifetime - volleyball, random weekend birthday celebrations in Ireland, chasing/falling down waterfalls in SC, photoshoots in corn fields, you name it. Mandy taught Amy how to master the "jump" photo, and is the best wedding date a girl could ask for. She is always down for adventure, as long as it wraps up before her 9p bed time.
Groomsman
David and Chris are adopted brothers and complete opposites. Growing up, David was Chris' inspiration and motivation to be smart. Always jealous of his innate brilliance, Chris always looked up to his older brother. David is from El Salvador and was the first of the brothers to be adopted by Mike and Beverly Thompson. Four years his elder and also his closest friend, David has always been by Chris' side. Despite being opposites, Chris and David share a bond closer than most blood brothers and the same is true throughout the Thompson family. David lives in Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky and enjoys cats, reading, jazz and mother nature.
Bridesmaid
Meet Jesscia - Amy's oldest friend and lesbian co-parent. She is the one with the gorgeous eyes and the most insane memory ever! They met in 1998 when Amy started hanging out with the crazy Best Buy bunch. Movies, NFL, and house parties... the laughter and photos were endless. While they lost touch for a while after Jessica got married, they reconnected like no time had passed a few years later. She's been there for every milestone, good and bad, all across the country. From last minute NFL games in San Diego to MBA graduation celebrations in Seattle, NYE in Tampa to graduations in Tyler, exploring Boston to making friends all over Texas, there is always a laugh until you cry moment, a random encounter with a stranger, and an epic photo or three.
