Please RSVP by the beginning of June, if at all possible. That will help us get more accurate numbers for busses and make sure we can deliver an amazing experience for everyone!
Steakhouses - Tony's or Jeff Ruby's Mexican - Mama Tequila (we'd recommend skipping Agave & Rye for anything other than drinks) Thai - Nat's Goodfella's Pizza is a staple - grab a slice and wander Pies & Pints - great pizza and a beer/wine bar Distilled - great place for dinner, but make sure you get reservations Carson's for brunch - reservations are recommended Zim's Cafe (inside the old courthouse) for delicious breakfast, excellent sandwiches, and corn cookies in the bakery If you want a little walk, and to support a great cause, check out DV8 kitchen on Third Street
If you are going to rent a car, feel free to stay anywhere in the city. Lexington isn't very big, and you can get anywhere in about 20 minutes. Wedding day you'll want to park your car at the Short Street Parking Garage and take the bus to/from the wedding, or uber downtown, to avoid driving the back roads at night, especially after you've been drinking. If you aren't going to rent a car, downtown is totally walkable and there are ubers readily available to take you anywhere you want to go.
We are fortunate enough to have everything we need as far as stuff, so we are registering at Honeyfund to help fund our insane, six-week honeymoon.
The hotels have gyms, so you're set there. Also, there are three Planet Fitness' in town if you have a black membership. Sterling Hot Yoga has a 30 days for $30, where you can do Hot Pilates or Bikram. Wise Bird Cider at the Distillery District at 6p on Tuesdays. Legacy Trail has a walking/biking/running track and runs from downtown to the outskirts. The Arboretum has walking trails.
