Travel

The Wedding Website of Amelia Torgerson and James Matthews
Below is some helpful travel information for Mexico City. Since our wedding will be in February, we suggest arriving at least one day in advance (Thursday, February 19) due to weather in the US. Besides, having some extra time to explore Mexico City is highly recommended; it has so much to offer! We have done a lot of research to find hotels we feel are in great neighborhoods. These hotels are not blocked so, please book as soon as you are able to. There are plenty of Airbnbs/VRBOs with great options. Every time we’ve visited, we’ve stayed in an Airbnb. This is also a good option for larger groups. We recommend staying in the Roma Norte or Condesa neighborhoods as they have great shops, restaurants and are centrally located.

Flight

Benito Juarez International Airport

We have family and friends from all over the US so we know each persons flight experience will be slightly different. Mexico City has a major international airport (MEX) and gets hundreds of flights each day from all over the world.

Travel Note

Uber

Uber operates in Mexico City and we have found them to be very reliable and affordable. We highly suggest having this set up prior to your arrival with it downloaded and a credit card with low or no foreign transaction fees set up. This is how we recommend getting to & from the wedding events.
