We suggest going to google flights and tracking round trip flights to Mexico City for that time period. All major airlines (Delta, American & United) fly into MEX but we have also flown with Viva, and Aeromexico (a Delta partner). There might be some great deals coming up especially around Black Friday. We recommend booking hotels or Airbnbs ASAP.
We have hotels listed in the "Travel" section that we suggest based on their locations. If you are wanting to stay in a VRBO, Airbnb or find your own hotel, we suggest staying in the Roma Norte & Condesa areas. They are both very walkable and are filled with local shops, parks, restaurants, & bars. When we have visited, we have stayed in Airbnbs in Roma Norte and found it very central, walkable and easy to get Ubers to/from.
We use Uber! Make sure you download the app in advance and have your credit card linked to the account. It operates just like it will in the US.
We suggest arriving at least one day early (by Thursday evening) to account for any travel delays during the winter months in the US. We hope that if you can, you come even earlier to explore Mexico City with us!
Please plan for a welcome gathering on Friday evening and the wedding ceremony & reception to begin Saturday afternoon through the night. There is more information & details in the "Schedule" section.
Please plan to use Uber to get to & from the wedding events. Please note: like an big city, traffic will get busier on nights and weekends, please allow for extra time when traveling to the ceremony.
Yes, you can plan on the welcome party to be festive/cocktail attire and the wedding celebrations on Saturday to be black tie optional/formal attire. That means black Tuxedo or dark suit and tie for men and colorful, long dresses for women. If you are looking for some ideas on what to wear for the wedding ceremony, here is some inspiration: https://www.pinterest.com/atorgers/wedding-ideas/guest-attire/
Please RSVP no later than January 14, 2026. Any RSVPs not given by then, we will assume you will not be joining us. If something comes up that may change your RSVP, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
While we love your children, they are not invited to wedding activities. We hope this can be a fun getaway for you but if you want them to join you on the trip, please make sure you have arrangements for someone to care for them during the wedding. Thank you so much for understanding.
Please refer to your invitation and RSVP for information on additional guest(s) invited. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. We will be happy to clarify.
Yes. You will need a valid passport in order to travel to Mexico. Please refer to https://uspassportandvisa.org/us-passport/ for receiving a new passport, renewing your passport or other FAQs related to passports.
If you are a US citizen, you will not need a visa to enter Mexico. If you are not a US citizen, please refer to Mexico's visa requirements for your country of citizenship.
Mexico City is one of the worlds largest cities and they are very used to speaking English in most places. However, we do suggest you learn easy phrases and download Google Translate as an app to your phone so you can use that to help communicate if you need to.
Yes! Most places will accept all major credit cards. We highly suggest having pesos on hand for markets, tipping and street vendors.
Mexico City in February is still in it's dry season. We found the days to be warm, usually between mid-70s to mid-80s, and the evenings to drop to mid 50s to mid-60s. Mexico City has an elevation of 7,340ft (for reference, this is 2,000 ft higher then Denver) so please plan on bringing sunscreen since the sun is much much stronger there. The wedding dinner and reception will be outdoors so please plan accordingly.
Please do not hesitate to reach out with any other questions. We want this to be enjoyable for you and are happy to help, however we can!
