Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Amelia Torgerson and James Matthews
We are excited to share with you the things we love about Mexico City. There are so many amazing spots to eat, drink and explore. Below are a few places we highly recommend but have a lot more we can recommend. Don't hesitate to reach out if interested.

Eat Like a Local Mexico - Food Tours

21 Calle Ozuluama, Ciudad de México, CDMX 06140, Mexico

This is one of the best things we did on our trip. If you only have time for one thing, let it be one of these tours. This is a business driven by purpose to help girls receive education, learn english and create a better life for themselves. We did the Mexican Street Foods 101 and of course we ate lots of yummy foods, but we learned so much about the people behind these businesses. It was truly eye opening and a fun educating experience.

Museo Nacional de Antropología

s/n Avenida Paseo de la Reforma, Ciudad de México, CDMX 11560, Mexico

We spent hours here! So interesting to learn about the history of Mexico and see great artifacts. Nice to walk through Bosque de Chapultepec before or after visiting.

Frida Kahlo Museum

247 Londres, Ciudad de México, CDMX 04100, Mexico

Buy tickets in advance and show up a little early before your ticketed time. Suggest going in the morning and afterwards exploring the Coyoacán neighborhood markets.

Contramar

200 Durango, Ciudad de México, CDMX 06700, Mexico

Our favorite restaurant in Mexico City. Be sure to get a reservation, otherwise you may have a very long wait. We suggest sharing the Fish Traditio, Contramar Fish a la carte (fish tacos), and finish with the Strawberry Meringue for dessert (trust us on this one)!

Hot air balloon ride over Teotihuacan

San Juan Teotihuacán, Méx., Mexico

We had a great experience on our hot air balloon ride but if we could do it over again, we would have just done the express option: sunrise ride over the pyramids. We didnt love the full experience which included the sunrise balloon ride, a cave breakfast, a tourist store and by the time we got to the actual pyramids, we were exhausted. We were gone for 12 hours! If you do this express option you will likely be gone from 430a to 10a (pick up & drop off in CDMX). *please note, we have not done this exact tour but it seems to have a lot of great reviews*
