House Or Rental
Though we have reserved a block of rooms at The Key Bridge Marriott in Roslyn, Virginia, another lodging option for guests is to reserve accommodation through airbnb. Airbnb is great! There are several options people can take advantage of including, reserving single rooms, reserving an apartment, reserving an entire house, or even reserving a mansion! Whatever floats your boat! Margaret is very familiar with airbnb's in the DMV area, so if a guest has a question, please reach out to her personally. Thank you!
Train
We are so excited to share this special day with our guests! We feel so blessed to have you in our lives! One great thing about the Washington D.C. area is that it is accessible by car, bus, train, and plane! Some can even walk from parts of D.C. to parts of Maryland and Virginia, because that's how close everything can be! At any rate, taking a train to the D.C. area is a great idea! Amtrak is your best bet, although there is also the MARC train for those who are in the area, but don't feel like driving, or using another public transportation option.
Flight
There are three main airports folks use to fly in and out of the Washington D.C. area. They are the Baltimore Washington International Airport, the Washington Dulles International Airport, and The Ronald Reagan Washington National Airports. The Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport is the closest to D.C., and also the closest to where our wedding festivities will take place, however, the sooner flights are booked the better---as the accessibility of this airport can influence airline prices! The Baltimore Washington International and Dulles International airports are also good options, but they are a bit further away from where the wedding will take place. However--there are some great public transportation options that can help guests get from these airports to where they need to go. Please refer to each airport's websites for more information.
Travel Note
As many of you know, our entire wedding (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception), will all take place at The Clarendon Ballroom! Here is the address: 3185 Wilson Boulevard Arlington, Virginia 22201 And, telephone number: 703-469-2244 Website: www.clarendonballroom.com One reason why we chose The Clarendon Ballroom for our wedding is because how ACCESSIBLE the venue is to so many other places. Literally, there is a Metro station across the street from the venue--the Clarendon stop on the orange line! There are also public bus stops near by. Street parking is available, but guests must pay attention to the meter rules, and read all signs. The Clarendon Ballroom, nor Nathaniel and Margaret are responsible! Guests should refrain from parking in the more residential areas because permits are needed. The Clarendon Ballroom suggests three parking garages guests can use, and each of them are found on the venue's website. The venue is also accessible by multiple highways etc.
