Garden of the Gods
This place is amazing! Dylan and I love it. Most trails are paved and flat, and many of the rocks are climbable--options for everyone! Absolutely must see, especially if you've never been.
Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
This zoo is excellent for little ones! It is situated on the side of Cheyenne Mountain-- beautiful views while you see the animals. Best part is the giraffe exhibit-- they are so close and will eat lettuce straight from your hand!
Pikes Peak Cog Railway Station
This is a lovely train ride that goes up Pike's Peak.
United States Air Force Academy
If you are interested in seeing where Dylan and I went to college, the Air Force Academy is close by! Although the chapel is under construction, the visitor's center may still interest you. Since this is a military installation, be sure to have your ID on you go through the North Gate.
The Incline
The Manitou Incline is a mile-long "staircase" hike that goes straight up Pike's Peak. Incredible views, incredible experience! I recommend getting ice cream at the Colorado Custard Company afterwards (you earned it). There are also lots of cute shops in Manitou Springs near the base of the Incline for anyone more interested in window shopping than hiking! :)
Cave of the Winds
This amusement park is lots of fun, especially the "terror-dacytyl" where you free fall over 150 feet off the side of a cliff. Terrifying, beautiful, and worth every penny! 😊 (just ask Angie and Alex Vandegraft)
Old Colorado City
This is where Dylan and I went for our very first date. This historic district of Colorado Springs is a great place to explore!
Royal Gorge Rafting - Colorado White Water Rafting Tours
We love white water rafting! Fun fact: Dylan used to work here as a white water rafting guide.
Gold Belt Scenic Byway

U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center
Great tours here if you’re a fan of Olympic sports! The training center is less than 10 minutes from our venue, and the US Olympic & Paralympic Museum is nearby as well.
Coors Brewery Tour
We recommend touring the Coors factory in Golden, CO!
Estes Park
If you have the time to travel a couple hours north, Rocky Mountain National Park is absolutely amazing. Dylan and I have many fond memories hiking here.
Mona Lisa Fondue Restaurant
Great fondue restaurant in Manitou Springs, just 5 miles from our venue. Lots of great memories from Parent’s Weekend here.
Edelweiss German Restaurant
This was Angie's "Last Supper" before starting basic training in 2016. Wonderful German restaurant!
