Dylan and Angie both majored in biology at the Air Force Academy, and they met in one of their classes. When tasked with collecting and identifying 30 species of insects, Angie asked Dylan for help identifying one of her bugs. He helped, and eventually asked for her number! They've been love-bugs ever since.
In 2017, Dylan and Angie went on their first date a few days before Halloween. They decided to explore some bars in downtown Colorado Springs, as Angie had just turned 21. Dylan heard the bars were hosting Halloween events that night, so they arrived in costume! (Dylan as a train conductor and Angie as a cat). The only problem was.... NO ONE else was in costume at any of the bars they went to! Dylan must have gotten the dates wrong! Despite this mix-up, they had a wonderful time together.
Dylan and Angie are both on active duty in the Air Force! Dylan is a fighter pilot, flying the F-16 Viper. Angie is a bioenvironmental engineer (BEE) and plans to teach biology at the couple's alma mater, the US Air Force Academy. After 3 years stationed at separate bases, they look forward to their first assignment together at Spangdahlem Air Base in western Germany. Angie moved there in April, and Dylan will join right after the wedding! They can't wait to live together, serve, and explore Europe over the next 3 years.
