Since we are already married, we are not asking for gifts and didn't build a registry. Especially since so many of you will be traveling from afar, your presence is the very best present you could give us! We would, of course, be appreciative if you insist on giving us something, but there is absolutely no expectation. Please be mindful that we’re flying to Germany 3 days after the wedding— we don’t have any space for gifts in our suitcases! If you insist on giving, cards are best!
Yes! If you’d like Risotto Bello as your meal, let us know at 618-791-5629 or magnesswedding@gmail.com! For more details on the menu, see the ‘Food’ tab of this site!
We envision people dressing in semi-formal attire. Wear whatever this means to you! (just no jeans, please 😊) If you’re curious, our wedding colors are navy blue, blush pink, sage green, and silver. Absolutely no requirement to wear these colors, but if you want to, please do! Also, Angie will be wearing a formal dress, but it is not white (so feel free to wear white if you’d like!) Colorado Springs in July is generally warm (on average, daily high temp around 84°F, rarely falling below 74°F or exceeding 92°F). All events will be indoors, well-ventilated, and taking place in the evening, but like most places in Colorado, our venue does not have air conditioning. So, this may not be the day for a long-sleeve dress or 3-piece tux.
Yes! There is ample parking at our venue, The Pinery at the Hill, 775 W. Bijou St, Colorado Springs, CO 80905
We consider this our wedding celebration/vow renewal! In January of 2021, we ran to the courthouse by ourselves to tie the knot a week after getting engaged! As military members stationed in separate locations during a pandemic, we decided to get married right away and worry about planning a wedding later. Now that time has come! We couldn't be more excited to renew our vows and celebrate our marriage with everyone!
We love Colorado! Colorado Springs is where we first met, fell in love, and have plans to move back to someday. We want to return to the place it all began for us, and also see this event as a great excuse to take a vacation in the mountains with the people we love most.
We did previously secure a room block for a discounted rate at ALTA— at the time we booked, it looked like a nice hotel with good reviews. However, some recent poor reviews have surfaced and we no longer recommend staying there. We are so sorry for the inconvenience! We've since secured room blocks at the Hilton Garden Inn and Quality Inn South. See the "Travel & Lodging" tab for more details!
