Saturday, July 22nd: Wedding- arrive between 5pm and 5:30pm at the terreiro. Ceremony starts at 6pm sharp. It takes about 30-40 minutes to get there from most parts of Salvador. Here is the address to give the Uber driver. Rua Santa Rita da Ceasa 58 Parque São Cristóvão In front there is a hanging wooden sign with straw that says Ilé Ase Opo Onire Here’s a point of reference as well- USF Parque São Cristóvão or if you need to ask for help, ask for Pai de Santo Regis. For the ceremony, wear white- any shade of white ;), including shoes if possible. Otherwise, a light color will work. We’ll be seating you as you arrive, and the Pai de Santo, Pai Regis, asks that you remain in your seat/ at your place for the duration of the ceremony as these are their spiritual grounds. He’s only conducted 4 weddings in 40 years on his path as a Pai de Santo. There are just two bathrooms there, so don’t forget to go before you leave.
Sunday, July 23rd: Party starts at 2pm on Sunday at the beautiful Quinta da Aldeia. Here is the address: (directions in Portuguese below) R. João Manoel de Sá, 96 - Estrada das Pedreiras, Salvador Come ready to dance. There is a pool, so bring a bathing suit and a kanga. There will be churrasco, acaraje, açaí, and tapioca! And cake, of course. Also a lottery for 10 tattoos. If you don’t want won, and you win, too bad! Just kidding, you can give you spot to someone else. There’s already a list of people who want one. Bring sunscreen and bug repellent. It’s about a 45 minute drive (maybe less on a Sunday) from most parts of Salvador towards the countryside.

Para a cerimonia; precisa estar vestido de branco – qualquer tom, até os sapatos se for possível. Senão, usar uma cor suave. Ao chegar você será encaminhado para o seu assento e o Pai de Santo, Pai Regis, pedirá que permaneça sentado durante a cerimonia por se tratar de seu terreno espiritual. Será só o quarto casamento que ele conduz nos 40 ano como Pai de Santo. Notar que só tem 2 banheiros, então é importante usar em casa antes de pegar estrada.

The airport transfer in São Paulo- international to national terminal is a very long walk, a couple duty free sections, customs and then another terminal that’s quite a ways, so don’t stop if you only have a couple of hours. The security lines were pretty long.
