The Wedding
The wedding ceremony will be on Saturday night July 22nd at 6pm at Tiago’s terreiro.
A terreiro is a spiritual center where the rituals of Candomblé take place. For the ceremony, everyone will wear white symbolizing spiritual peace, harmony and serenity and making the entities happy. White is also out of respect for Oxalá who is the Creator in the Afro-Brazilian pantheon.
Sunday July 23rd at 12noon. We’ll celebrate at the beach in Salvador (specific location TBA.) Now you can wear color! As bright as you want to be.
We will have a tattoo artist, live music, and local food.
Bring a bathing suit. Ready to dance and swim.
It is such a long journey that we are looking to rent a house for the week following so that our friends could be together. If you are interested, let us know!
