Zack Freedman
Best Man
Jonah and Zack have known each other for a long time. Zack, the older brother, has always shown a gentle expression of brotherly love, once with a super-soaker blow to the head. Jonah responded to this love by growing bigger and taller than Zack in high school, an act of defiance. All that being said, these brothers have always been close and always had each others' backs. Zack lives in far away South Florida with his fiance Samantha and (cuteness award-winning) puppy Bagel. They still find time to catch up, make fart jokes and discuss Game of Thrones.
Jess Perez
Maid of Honor
Jess, aka Juicy Juice, has been Sierra's friend, confidante & chosen family since 2014. The two spend time getting into mischief, eating delicious meals and drinking wine/sake, and helping each other reflect on what matters. They share a love of good food, great music, badass women, TED talks, and plants of all varieties. Sierra is so thankful to have Jess as a special member of the wedding crew! K'yeah!
Ian Timmons
Groomsman
Ian and Jonah have been best friends since the third grade. Bonding over the important stuff (kickball and N64) their sophisticated interests evolved coincidentally into a love for music festivals and N64. They grew up together, got into trouble, found their way out again and have always found a way to spend some time drinking beers and watching live music. Both are still amazed to have found strong, intelligent, beautiful women that are willing to endure a lifetime of being "the other babe".
Becky (& Brian) Godfrey
Matron of Honor
Becky, American Brit, yoga superstar and gold-hearted girl, came into Sierra's life through her friendship with Brian Godfrey, close college pal and future Mayor of Somewhere. They all met in college and spent time outside enjoying the sunshine and each other's company. Together, Brian and Becky have spun their own love story, and Sierra has been honored to watch it unfold! Becky and Brian are lifelong friends, and Sierra is very glad to have them by her side. Though Brian isn't exactly "Matron of Honor" material, he is an honorary Bridesman, meaning he gets the fun of a title without having to rent a suit :)
Kyle Romeo
Groomsman
Jonah and Kyle met at McDougle Elementary School, digging in a rock pile during recess. As roommates in college at UNC-Asheville, these two spent orientation week drinking whiskey and urban climbing the parking decks of downtown Asheville. They have since developed an appreciation for better whiskey through numerous physical injuries that prevent them from climbing. Romeo is the best of people.
Anna Taylor
Bridesmaid
Anna - Annie Bananie - has been Sierra's "twin" sister for most of her life, since they are only 12 days apart! Even before they were sisters, they were close friends, tumbling and jumping in gymnastics together in the 2nd grade. Annie and Sierra experienced all the ups and downs of childhood, adolescence and early adulthood together (plenty of tears!), and have come out the other side better for it. Annie is the best sister anyone could ask for, and her expertise in weddings and photography has come in handy, especially during the wedding planning process! Sierra is so grateful for her.
Alex Davis
Groomsman
Alex and Jonah met in Raleigh and became close friends after Jonah became homeless, following a failed relationship. Alex welcomed a broken and battered Jonah as a roommate and together they danced, bromanced and lost many ultimate frisbee games (won a few too). Alex also is the owner of the One True Love of Sierra's Life, the butter-weasel, Aries the dog (pictured above).
Haleigh Shell

Sierra and little sister Haleigh share many things - a dad, blue eyes, middle names, and definitely a sense of humor. Haleigh knows how to laugh and make others laugh, too. Wise beyond her years, this kid has quite a future coming her way. But, for now, she'll settle for her first adventure as a bridesmaid. Welcome to the crew, Haleigh Bug! Pro tip: You'll need waterproof mascara.
Abe Sterling
Officiant
Sierra and Abe met their freshman year at UNC, and since bonding over Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, bad jokes, and impromptu sword fights, have been the very best of friends. Luckily, Abe and Jonah have forged their own friendship, as well. Many hours of playing Super Smash Bros have brought the three together in love and utter frustration at Abe's superior skills (but we're coming for you, dude). Abe knows he is limited to one Lord of the Rings reference, and Sierra & Jonah know he will blow right through that in the first 10 minutes of the ceremony. Buckle up, folks.
