If you happen to be in town the night before the nuptials and are looking for something to do, come swing by Orange County Social Club and give the happy couple a 'hello!' They'll be around to grab one last drink as unmarried folks. The bar is a few short steps from the Hampton Inn & Suites hotel, an easy 5 minute walk. This event is extremely casual, no need to RSVP or mention the Shell/Freedman wedding specifically.

Shuttle services

Several shuttles will be available to take guests from the Hampton Inn & Suites to the Haw River Ballroom. Shuttles will leave at 4pm from the hotel. Shuttles will return guests to the Hampton Inn & Suites at approximately 8pm, 9pm, 10pm, 10:30pm, and 11:15pm. Return times are subject to change based on demand. Carrboro offers plenty of free parking in the parking deck attached to the hotel, as well as around town within 0.25 mile of the hotel. However, I would not recommend leaving your car in the parking deck overnight, as it is restricted from 3am to 7am. Ubers and Lyfts are available in Carrboro to take guests to the Haw River Ballroom, but it is about a 30 minute ride. Rideshares are not available in Saxapahaw, and wouldn't be able to return guests to the hotel after the wedding.

Cocktail Attire: Wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and suits, or dark jackets and slacks.
Please see the Travel tab for more information on shuttles and (limited) venue parking. We want to make sure everyone can come and go comfortably! Also the ceremony site can get quite sunny in the afternoon, sunglasses or hats are recommended.
